Hot Toys is redoing Back To The Future with new Marty and Doc Brown figures from the original movie.

Back to the Future - 1/6th scale Marty McFly and Einstein Collectible Set
In the 1980s classic movie, Back to the Future, the lovable teenage Marty McFly is accidentally sent thirty years into the past in a DeLorean time machine by his eccentric scientist friend Doc Brown. Travelling through time, Marty encounters young versions of his parents, and must race the clock to ensure they fall in love or he'll cease to exist.

 


Inspired by Back to the Future, Hot Toys is excited to further expanding the time-traveling collection by introducing the 1/6th scale Marty McFly and Einstein collectible set available in selected markets only.

Fox as Marty McFly in the movie, featuring a newly developed head sculpt with astonishing likeness, skillfully tailored outfit, a stunningly detailed accessories including a camcorder, portable audio cassette player with headset, a watch, a skateboard, a red backpack, a handout, and a display base! Furthermore, this collectible set specially features Einstein as a 1/6th scale collectible companion for our famous time travelers.

Masterfully crafted based on the appearance of Christopher Lloyd as Dr. Emmett Brown in Back to The Future, the 1/6th scale figure features a newly painted head sculpt with incredible likeness; finely tailored protective jumpsuit comes with pouch and bag to store his equipments; a variety of detailed accessories including the signature remote to control the time machine, clipboard, stopwatch, climate graph, portable printer, a series of tools that can be found in his tool bag and a figure stand.

Of course they're reusing the headsculpts from the previous versions, but it would be nice to see new ones. While obviously Christopher Lloyd, Doc's expression is too exaggerated for general display, and there aren't enough lines in the face for Doc in the mall parking lot scenes from the first movie. I'm still convinced that was supposed to be a 1955 Doc that got scrapped. The Marty sculpt is generally better, but the expression just looks too severe. Einstein isn't looking too bad and is a step up from the little Jones that came with Ripley a few years ago.
