Todd McFarlane today posted this video showing off the upcoming DC Multiverse Dark Nights: Death Metal 7" scale Batmobeast vehicle. No word on price, how or where this will be released, but it's the biggest toy they have made in 30 years. From the video it sounds like the top comes off so you can put a figure in it.

I think we needed to see a batmobile first, although we did get 2 already, that 7 inch BAF and the retro 66, but I really hope we get to see a 1/12 scale more modern batmobile. This is cool if you're really into this and the comic storyline this comes from. It does look good and unique, but I don't need or want this. But never say never ha. Wonder what the price point will be on it. As an example, would have loved to see or would love to see him release a Batman 89 figure along with his batmobile, that would be so dope. It's still nice to see McFarlane continue to make vehicles.

You may recall back in early September Todd McFarlane threw up one of his videos teasing this one, it's the DC Multiverse Dark Nights: Death Metal Batmobeast Vehicle. Since Todd put that video up we have not heard anything more on it like where it would be available or how much it would cost. We never even got official images for it. Well now it seems to already be showing up overseas and thanks to xiaomukuo we have some in-hand images for it.

With these images we see you can remove the outer shell and in fact sit figures inside. We still don't know what it will cost here in the US or when and where in the US it will see release. When those details become available we will be sure to pass them on to you.

For those that like this car...great enjoy. For me death metal was bloated and lasted way too long as a comic series and its lasting way too long as a line of figures. A comic accurate modern batmobile would be a much better choice.

Wasn't the Death Metal series a miniseries?  So it only lasted like 6-7 issues or something?  Can't get too much shorter than that and tell a complete story.  I agree though, I would much rather have a modern Batmobile from the comics.  This just looks like an RC car you'd pick up at walmart.

Just adding to my earlier comment...its a great looking toy but a current comics accurate batmobile is something collectors could really go for and I think kids would like as well.  I'm pretty much done with everything death metal. The Murphy verse bat bike was great.

Whoa you can put 7'' Figures inside this bad boy!, okay this is really cool, just as a fun piece, I can imagine having some fun with this, not even just as a DC thing just as a big truck that figures can get inside of any brand, super cool.

I wonder why he would start with this. If he's testing the waters for large vehicles, wouldn't you start with more popular vehicles that has a better chance to sell?

Anyway, still hoping he makes the Tumbler and the new Batmuscle car.

We first saw this months ago, and then we showed you in-hand images from overseas in October. Now the McFarlane Toys Dark Nights: Death Metal DC Multiverse Batmobeast is finally available for pre-order here in the US.

After one world within the Dark Multiverse devolved into chaos, Batman uploaded his consciousness into every piece of technology to enforce and protect humanity. However, his protection and leadership soon turned to tyranny, and those he sought to save revolted against him. In an attempt to regain their freedom, humanity wiped Batman from every piece of tech on Earth—except one, the Batmobeast. Designed to be the ultimate all-terrain vehicle, this monstrous Batmobile now holds all the imprints of Batman’s consciousness, and races across the desolate landscape of its broken planet.

The vehicle will hold a figure. You can pre-order it at out sponsors EntertainmentEarth or BigBadToyStore.com.

Agree with a lot of others here, I am so sick of the Death Metal stuff.   Not interested at all, and I cannot in any world imagine that this item will sell better than a 7" scale movie Batmobile, pick one.   Todd has the DC Collectibles, he's putting out some of the DCeased figures, put out a rerelease of the original Animated series Batmobile or even the New Adventures Batmobile that hasn't been done yet.
