Super7 Teasing New SpongeBob SquarePants Figures

Recommended Posts

Super7 today released a new teaser image with the caption coming soon. The image show Gary the Snail and his bowl of food from the SpongeBob SquarePants series. They have already done ReAction figures for SpongeBob. Whether this is for another wave of ReAction figures or for new 7" Ultimates are unknown, but these look more like accessories for an Ultimates line to me. More details should be coming soon.

It's official, Super7 will make toys out of absolutely ev-ry-thingaaaah. I guess that's okay as long as they keep finding patronage for those products at $45+. Meanwhile, we're still waiting for our pre-ordered Thundercats to ship. It seems like this would be a company well suited for something like Pokeman, but I'm super excited Jazwares got that bid. Not sure how well they'll translate, but at least we won't be paying half the price Super7 charges.

These really aren't any different than their Reaction line for Spongebob. The articulation is going to be limited by design, and there simply not that much of a difference between what these $55 figures would offer versus an $18 5POA figure that looks every bit as nice as these do from a sculpt POV. They do have it beat on the accessories side, so they need to lean in heavy on that to make up for the articulation problem.
