Mattel has been teasing Street Sharks this week on their MattelCreations site. It's not clear exactly what kind of product or products they are teasing, but whatever it is they should be revealing it on Monday.

If it's new action figures of some type we will be sure to update you when more details become available.

Before they became our favorite animated man-sharks from the '90s, the Street Sharks started as sketches. Some of the sketches eventually morphed into the toothy crime fighters we know and love, and some never saw the light of day. Until now. Our designers dug through the archives to give three original concepts of Clambo, Karkass, and Ripster their time in the water.

Ripster - The lead shark, originally imagined as the lead jock and named "Ripley", wears cleats, a helmet, and sunglasses. His weapon of choice? A football missile perfect for jawesome power passes.

Karkass Long before he became "piranhoid," Karkass had evil in his gills. Featuring a piranha’s toothy grin and removable fish fists, this nemesis is casually dressed in sneakers and a track jacket.

Clambo - This half-man, half-mollusk is armed to the teeth and all villain. He features a camo shell, multiple blasters, and a biting sneer.

Each figure will cost $75 each and be available for pre-order on August 27th at noon ET on the MattelCreations website.

This is a late april fools joke right? $75 to what equates to a more painted happy meal toy? Like WHAT?!? Also they "reimagined" the original designs to be worse. This is like the dumbest ish Ive seen in quite a while.  75 friggin dollars EACH for this... good god man.. They must have like the hugest confidence in this crap to sell off peoples nostalgia that doesnt even look like the characters. Mondo is doing expensive nostalgia right, these guys.. not so much. They are even articulated like an 80s toy.. BIG OOF. No thank you.

LOL, I wouldnt pay that much but it shouldn't surprise anyone. Everything they offer on that site is pretty expensive.

Anyways they will sell out the same day... I predict in less than 30 min...

Just to put this in proper perspective, they claim these are based on original "UNUSED" sketches. Those would be sketches that someone looked over back in the day and said "Nah, we can do better than that."

They are charging 75 bucks a pop for figures based on failed sketches from the design phase of a 30 year-old toy line.

Seriously, I was gonna make a Vin Diesel joke, but this is to stupid for even that.

Hahahaha holy cow!  Those look like hot garbage.  I'd pass on these if they were 10 dollars.  But 75 makes it seem like they have straight up lost their minds.  "Please buy our crap!  We'll make it worth your while!  We'll make it expensive so idiots will think it's collectible!" -Mattel
