G.I. Joe Classified Cobra Island Re-Issues Go Live Today (7/7) At 9am ET On Target's Website

Target is holding a summer collector event this month on their website and for today (7/7) they are going to be offering re-issues of their G.I. Joe Classified Cobra Island exclusive figures. Specifically the first twp waves which includes Baroness and Coil Bike, Beach Head, Roadblock v2, Cobra Soldier, Firefly and Cobra Viper.

They are expected to be available today at 9am ET at this link. It says limit 1 per person, so hopefully they will last longer than 2 seconds for those who missed out on them the first time around.

Speaking of Firefly, I'm seeing multiples of it as well as Major Bludd online where I purchased some McFarlane stuff recently. At least the prices of these aren't scalper-tier anymore. I hope this signifies that the line will now go in the right direction in terms of distribution.

Baroness and Coil 'sold out' despite never being able to add to cart for 15 minutes. I assume the rest will follow suit. Scalpers are probably having a field day

And of course they sold out in 2 seconds or you kept getting an error message saying oops something went wrong! What a shocker!!! Target couldn’t even get this right.

UPDATE: Most of the figures  sold out in just a few minutes. Hasbro and Target once again clearly failed to make these figures readily available in any real numbers to fill the demand. Whether they make them available again at some point remains unknown.

I was on the site at 9am sharp. It NEVER allowed me to get anything no matter what figure I tried. Gave the same error over and over again. The site is still saying Beachhead is still available.

Target is a disgrace.

I was hoping they might have made some improvements since their sale of the RAM cycle and Barbecue (who is still available I think), but this reminds me to never underestimate Target's ability to F&*% things up. How do you screw up things this badly, this many times without doing it on purpose? Seriously?

Sadly, this won't end until Target gets their exclusive s*&% under control, Hasbro gets their crap together and quits doing exclusives like these and/or collectors stop supporting the scalpers. Period. ...and none of those will ever happen.

I need to make a decision on whether I'm going to keep buying these or just sell off what I have and cut my losses.

It never went up for sale that I could see and I was on the site refreshing at 9 am sharp. Is there a difference when the site says it's "sold out" (TM Kevin Smith) or if it still lists but says it "unavailable at this time", cuz I've seen both?

Guess I'll continue to check till the damn thing comes off the site. Maybe lightning will strike and I'll get mine.

What a surprise, figures were sold out in minutes. And here I was thinking that maybe the line is going on the right direction then this happens, tsk tsk.

No they were available for like a minute at least for some. When something sells out that quick, its faster than their shopping cart system can keep up with. Thats why it will sometimes say available but then when you go to add it to your cart it says its empty. Also not everyone sees the same thing on the internet at the exact same time. So some people likely had access to them before others even saw them available. I was able to add Baroness to my cart but put it back cause I already have one.

At the end of the day it comes down to either Target didn't enforce their 1 per person policy and the Scalper Bots cleaned them out in seconds or they didn't come close to providing these in enough numbers to fill demand.  So per usual most people walked away frustrated and empty handed.

Still showing as available on my page, but when I try to add it says error. Pretty frustrating. And on the site it says this is the "last chance" I really hope that's not the case. It seems so silly to make army builders like the cobra trooper and the viper so difficult to get. What a bummer.

Im adding the direct links to the figures so you can have them handy in case Target makes more available at some point. Also if physical stores start getting them in, it will help a little  to see if your store has them or not.

These were originally 19.99, now they're 22.99. You know what? I'm okay with missing out this time.

If Mattelbro wants to put these in mainstream release, at 19.99, I MIGHT consider forgetting the piss-poor job they've been doing across the board lately and picking some up . . . MIGHT.

It is seriously time to invest in a better hobby.

I just needed Firefly and was going to grab a Viper for a friend.  Up and online prior to 5:30 AM for the 6AM go time (Los Angeles time).  2 computers and phone refreshing just to make sure I’m trying from everything angle.  Go time.  Add to cart.  Ship it.  Nope.  Error.  2 seconds after they’ve gone live and their gone.  All my friends (whom haven’t given up on the hobby out of frustration)—exact same experience.

I was frustrated at work and went to the website and hit the "add to cart button" and miracle of miracles it worked!. Not promising anything, but it worked for me just now.
