Star Wars: Visions Streaming September 22 On Disney+

Announced last December as part of the 2020 Disney Investor Day event, Star Wars: Visions will be "a series of animated short films celebrating Star Wars through the lens of the world’s best anime creators. Fans will get their first look during a panel at the Anime Expo in July.

Join host Chastity Vicencio and Lucasfilm executive producers Jacqui Lopez, James Waugh, and Josh Rimes, Qubic Pictures’ and co-executive producer Justin Leach, and producer Kanako Shirasaki for an inside look at Star Wars: Visions before the series debuts on Disney+ later this year.

  • Bespin refugee changed the title to Star Wars: Visions Streaming September 22 On Disney+

When this project was announced it caught my attention, but now that I have seen the trailer my interest has decreased considerably. There are a couple of cuts that look interesting despite how little they show us, you can at least feel them as something that can happen within the SW universe, the rest are just shorts with the regular anime style girls wielding lightsabers and a bunch of modern anime clichés.

Introducing The Characters Of Star Wars: Visions

Debuting September 22nd on Disney+, Star Wars: Visions is an 9 episode anime anthology. StarWars.com talks to executive producer Josh Rimes and producer Kanako Shirasaki of Lucasfilm to find out about some of the characters introduced in these shorts.

The episode "The Elder" introduces 'Dan', a young padawan eager to see action.


"F", from the episode, "The Village Bride", is a mysterious cloaked and masked fallen Jedi with a great tragedy in her past.

'"The Ninth Jedi" features 'Kara' , who is " caught up in an unexpected destiny,...and faces the ultimate choice of her life.

In "The Twins", Karre makes a choice to "free himself from a life that had been designed by the people around him.

In "The Duel", 'Ronin " exists in a realm where old Kurosawa films, manga, Westerns, and Star Wars all collide
