Witcher 3 was hugely popular yes, but a few things with cd projekt red have kind of crumbled that. The game was massive at first but really stopped hearing anything about it after its initial dlc came out. And now with cyberpunks disaster, cd projekt reds reputation has diminished drastically. Also rarely do we see a full con circling around a single game series. Wtf is a GTA con? or a Bioshock Con? or a Last of Us Con? maybe an Uncharted Con? There are far bigger games that dont get that kind of treatment so I found it weird that they would have a con about a game that everyone talked about for a year and then stopped altogether until the netflix show.

I am excited to see if there is any news about a Witcher 4 game.

While the event will be filled with content fans are bound to enjoy, in the name of setting appropriate expectations CD PROJEKT RED has informed that no new Witcher game will be announced at WitcherCon.

CD PROJEKT RED and Netflix have together unveiled the full schedule for WitcherCon — the upcoming global online celebration of The Witcher franchise.

Amongst the line up, CD PROJEKT RED will be hosting numerous panels. In Memories from the Path: Stories Behind The Witcher Games,  developers and key figures from the creation of The Witcher series of games discuss how they bring stories to life in digital worlds, while also reminiscing about favorite moments — and forgotten relics — from the games. In Monster Slayer:Live the Life of a Witcher, the team at Spokko will help gamers prepare to become a witcher themselves by showing off what their new location-based AR RPG is all about. And The Witcher: Beyond Video Games will contain insight into the creative process behind items from the expanded Witcher universe, including comic books and the upcoming board game — The Witcher: Old World.

All of this will be accompanied by much more content from both CD PROJEKT RED and Netflix, as well as multiple musical performances throughout from composer Marcin Przybyłowicz and folk metal band Percival — who both worked on the award-winning Original Score for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Available on both Twitch and YouTube, WitcherCon will air on July 9th at 7:00 PM CEST. Fans will be able to watch WitcherCon across two separate streams, with each one containing some exclusive content. The second stream, which also airs on Twitch and YouTube, will begin at 03:00 AM CEST on July 10th.

I’m sure it will still probably be interesting but I can’t hide my disappointment.

Its pretty much what I expected. Witcher 3 took them years to develop and they are still trying to fix cyberpunk after already alot of years in development. It would be pretty dumb of them to show witcher 4 content so soon after cp's release. So ultimately the con is just a fan event and news on season 2 essentially. It still feels hollow to have a con surrounding such little content.
