Based on images the popped up online from overseas we have our first look at what appears to be an upcoming Playmobil set based on the 80's A-Team TV series. The set appears to include the famous van with red stripe as well as the entire team of Col. Hannibal Smith, B.A., Faceman, and Howling Mad Murdock with sock puppet. Looks like this will be out in October 2021.

I saw it on a Facebook post yesterday, I thought it was fake, I guess the other James Bond set I saw this morning is real too. I never thought I'd see license-based Playmobil sets like these.

Yeah Playmobil had some Ghost Busters sets, and Back to The Future last year, also How to train your Dragons, Scooby Doo and NHL, so they have had licensed sets in the past but it is always weird when they do because it doesn't seem like they do a lot of it.

Unlike Lego who has a licensed set for everything in the world it seems, Playmobil are more low key about it.

I loved Playmobil as a kid, if I could have had Ghost Busters when I was young..I would have been a happy child.

but now on to the A-Team sets, these look really fun! that Van is awesome, would be cool to make that van a Punisher van for 3.75 figs.

Don't be the fool who is pitied - pick up the Playmobil 70750 A-Team Van set now! This explosive vehicle is just the kind of toy you wish you had in the 1980s and comes complete with Faceman,Murdock, B.A. Baracus, and Hannibal! This awesome vehicle is dynamite - and it also includes dynamite, binoculars, and incredible authentic details like a red stripe, a vintage California license plate, red wheels, and so much more. Features opening doors, opening tailgates, an internal monitor, a wall to mount accessories, and so much more - but what matters is it's the A-Team van. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them... maybe you can hire The A-Team. You can pre-order this set now at EntertainmentEarth.

I think it’s cool and I like the A-Team and have most of the vintage toys but unlike Ghostbusters or Back to the Future I feel like the A-Team has less cross generational appeal.  People who grew up with it love it but the next generation of adults and kids today don’t really care enough to be into it.  That’s not a negative, just an observation that this release feels like it’s going to really only appeal to a certain demo of adult collectors where as Ghostbusters and BTTF had kids, adults, etc.
