While Hasbro said yesterday during their live-stream that they wouldn't be revealing any new Walmart exclusive G.I. Joe 3 3/4" Retro product until Walmart's CollectorCon event next month, it looks like at least one Walmart in Kentucky didn't get that memo.

New figures of Stalker and Cobra Trooper were discovered and since been auctioned off on Mercari.com. Check out the images for them below. They should be somewhat widely available next month if not sooner at Walmart stores.

I know a lot of people are disappointed in this line. But being someone who missed out on the 25th line it is a welcome addition. Just hope Walmart can get their stuff together. I may have seen 1 or 2 of these in the pegs. I was able to order them all online but these need to be easier to find.

Yesterday we told you how the newest wave of Walmart exclusive G.I. Joe: Retro 3 3/4" figures with Stalker and Cobra Trooper had started hitting stores. Now thanks to Josh Gidcumb we have more detailed images of both figures to share with you.

We can see from these images the Stalker figure is a nice update from the 25th Anniversary version released several years ago. The texturing on the chest are and darker green colors are nice added touches. The figure looks to be mostly if not all new parts from the previous version. You also get weapons a little more in keeping with the the original figure from the 80's.

The Cobra Trooper has has a number of different versions released over the years, some with removable helmets and others that didnt. The headsculpt on this one looks new from the previous ones that had removable helmets and I believe the body is the same as the one from the pilot featured with the new Retro FANG copter. Check out Josh's images below in our GALLERY.

You can also check out these video reviews from The Cobra Collector.

So far I have seen multiple reports of these being found in Ky and Illinois.

Will want Stalker for sure.  Looks like his body mold is the POC Snake Eyes which was used for the 30th Anniversary Stalker as well(Which had used the Dreadlocks head from Resolute).  His head might be new as well, can't tell.  Though I'll be honest, I wish he also came with a JUMP pack, only because I usually associate the JUMP Pack with Stalker(Most likely due to the original cartoon series, seeing him using it from time to time).

Undecided with the Cobra Trooper, but I have a feeling I'll pick 1 up to add to my Cobra Troops.  Though for those wondering why his Bazooka is Green, it should be noted that the 1st release of Zap also came with a Green bazooka, meaning that Hasbro has released Green bazooka's in the past, and a bazooka is normally shown being Green in real life(For the most part).  I mean, yeah, I get that most of us would of prefer a Black or Grey bazooka to fit in more with Cobra, but again, Green is a real life colour.  Granted, maybe not the shade of Green that this one is, but still.

  • 1 month later...

Back in June we told you about the new G.I. Joe 3 3/4" Retro Stalker and Cobra Trooper figures which will be going up for pre-order on Walmart's website later this week for their collector con event which kicks off on July 22 at 7 a.m. PST. Well now it looks like there will be a new G.I. Joe Retro vehicle going up as well which is the Cobra H.I.S.S. III With Rip It. The vehicle which is a repaint of the regular H.I.S.S. with blue colors as opposed to black has started hitting physical stores now.

The Walmart event will last for 4 days where they will reveal new items every morning, so I don't know which day the G.I. Joe stuff will go up.
