Hasbro G.I. Joe June Live-Stream Coverage

Recommended Posts

Hasbro today is holding another live-stream, this time with the G.I. Joe brand team. They promised to have news on re-issues of the Target exclusive Cobra Island figures and more. We will be providing coverage of the event with images and info on new product as they are revealed.

Classified Heavy Artillery Roadblock revealed looks like classic version. New Headsculot. Will be a Amazon exclusive available today at 1pm ET.

Deluxe Commando Snake-Eyes with Timber which is articulated and has alternate growling head. This will not pre-order today but later in the month. Unknown how or where it will be released.

Cobra Island Classified figures. They will be reissuing Beach Head, Baroness, Cobra Soldier and Roadblock through Target. No word on when or if they will be released in any real numbers.

Barbecue revealed as a Cobra Island Target exclusive. Should be out in July.

Cobra Island Breaker and RAM Cycle. Another Target exclusive. This will go up for pre-order sometime this month.

No new Retro reveals. But Walmart is holding a Collector-Con probably in July to tie in with Comic-Con where they will reveal the next wave.

New Jada Toy 18 mini-figure pack. Baroness, Snake-Eyes, Lady Jaye and more. They are also doing a VAMP Mark 2 Jeep remote control vehicle. Jeep does not hold figures. The Jeep will be available at major retailers.

Some good news. Snake-Eyes wont be a store exclusive, not sure if its Fan Channel or everywhere, but most places online will have it.

It would be cool if someone made a line of one twelfth scale super articulated animals.

GI Joe collectors: Finally, a classic Roadblock gets released after the modern versions, this is the version we should have gotten in the first place. Me, a long time Marvel Legends collector: Fi

Well, this should be interesting.  Hopefully we see some good news and some reveals.

Oh, I'm sure we'll get some great news and reveals. Just as I'm sure they'll completely gloss over their distribution issues.

Hopefully, they'll prove me wrong.

If all the end up doing is giving some vague promises for more Bludd, release a limited number of previous Cobra Island figures on Pulse as a ruse to get people to pay them $50 for Premium access and then announce a bunch more exclusives for the line then my guess the comments in the live-stream will be off the charts.

I hope they will say something along the lines that they have made sure to get enough Bludd out there to fill demand, and are making enough previous Cobra Island figures available on Pulse that anyone who wants them can get them. If they do that even if they then announce more exclusives which is likely, I think it will help smooth things over.

Based on Hasbro's previous track record with GIJoe however the first thing seems like the most likely but I hope I am wrong.

That SE & Timber set looks badass, judging by the packaging I suppose they will not be exclusive.

Believe it will.

Now this Roadblock looks better. I'm disappointed that Snake Eyes doesn't have swords.

Thinking they were going with the original Snake-Eyes where he was just a commando

A bittersweet panel, well actually more bitter than sweet, all the figures look quite good with a lot of inspiration from the vintage designs and I was happy to see that the weapons really looked like actual weapons instead of Nerf guns, but I will continue to watch from the fence, I have no choice. Hasbro simply has no intention or will to change anything.
