Hasbro today announced they will be kicking off June with another live-stream for G.I. Joe this coming Friday, June 4. We of course will have full coverage of the event with any relevant info and or information. Perhaps Hasbro will address the Target exclusive Cobra Island issues and maybe even have a practical solution, we will have to wait and see.

Ugh I always get anxiety when Hasbro does a G.I. Joe figure announcement, no other line does that too me, I just get all worked up about what awesome figures I'll never be able to find. I hope we finally get some resolve in terms of this exclusive business, maybe they can announce some regular releases re-decos of some Cobra Island stuff ;)  that would be great, new Baroness ! new Beachhead that I can actually get!

I've been doing checking, and unless Hasbro is planning on showing stuff off that isnt due for some time, I am not expecting anything new to be announced that isnt some kind of exclusive. I would say the best hope for any kind of good news here is if Hasbro has taken steps to make readily available to everyone the Cobra Island figures like Bludd on HasbroPulse.

Unless they're announcing that the exclusives will be 1.) easier to acquire and 2.) they're re-issuing the ones they've messed up, then frankly Hasbro can go you-know-what itself. They have crapped all over this line and frankly, who needs the hassle. I'm not even a die-hard Joe collector, so I can only imagine how betrayed the more devoted fans feel.

Unfortunately unless you're excited for the upcoming movie figures then they're could be some disappointment as anything else will likely be an exclusive to Target. Luckily I don't collect the line but do hope that for those that do you'll have some great news in store!

Yay... Maybe we'll get to see more exclusive figures that will be impossible to find.

In all honesty, this has been one of the most hyped and wanted toy line for years... I'm talking 6" Joe figures.  If Hasbro is unable to put these out at mass retail, then why not simply have a open pre-order for a week/month and have all the fans & collectors put in their orders and then make them.  Treat it like a monthly GI JOE Haslab with a minimum cap that must be met before a figure can be produced.  I'd rather wait 6-12 months to get the figures made that I want instead of supporting the scalpers.

Is this the one where they announce Major Bludd   I'm guessing they'll reveal another Cobra Island exclusive figure.  Hopefully that will be the last of them, and hopefully it's not an army builder (like BAT or Alley Viper).

Whatever they are going to announce this Friday, the guys from Hasbro better be prepared to face the legions of pissed-off fans who are going to pour out their frustration over them, IMO they deserve it. 😆

Except the ones in front of the cameras usually aren't the ones making the call on availability, they're just thrown into the loin's den.  So people can type "No more exclusives!"  In as big a font and with as many exclamation marks as they want, but it won't make a difference.  Hasbro and Target have the arrangement that works for them, I guess I'd be surprised if I see any real change to that get announced.  I'm betting the party line goes something like, "We are aware of the problem and we are working to fix it."

We get to watch a live stream of Hasbro telling us which figures will be Target exclusives and which figures will be Walmart exclusives and how everyone can buy 10 figures and throw them on eBay.

they already tried that with the subscription service, worked fine until they ran out of figures people were willing to pay $45 for and the final figure was always the most wanted. it was a flawed system that everybody seems to have forgotten about.

Are you referring to the G.I. Joe Collector’s Club FSS that ran from 2013-2018?  If so, then you have to admit that's a poor example for your argument.  Sure they ran out of figures to make after 8 subscriptions of 13 figures each = 104 total figures.  Not to mention, Hasbro already made most of the key figures in their GI Joe 25th Anniversary line, so the FSS was just a means to get the more obscure characters that Hasbro could not put out at mass retail.

I'm not looking for Hasbro to make a 6" Hardtop figure... but I would like to get characters like Beach Head and Major Bludd without being exclusive.  Put them out for pre-order like NECA has done with their Animated TMNT line and be done with it.  Plus it wouldn't be a true "subscription" service as you wouldn't have to subscribe to every figure in the wave.  And you can get multiples for army builders.
