Adil El Arbi And Bilall Fallah To Helm New Standalone 'Batgirl' Movie

The directing duo behind the 2020 box-office hit Bad Boys For Life, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have been tapped to direct Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment’s Batgirl movie.

Only plot details known is the film is based on Barbra Gordon, the daughter of Gotham City police commissioner James Gordon.  No word on additional characters.

Christina Hodson originally penned the script for the movie being planned for HBO Max. Kristin Burr is producing.

Joss Whedon was to direct but stepped down from the project back in April 2018.

being a Batgirl/Barbara Gordon fan i definitely might be looking forward for this movie, but at the same time i do confess i'm almost unsure whether if it'll meet my expectations, but we'll see

She also wrote Bumblebee. Like most movies, the strength of the final product comes down to the director.
