We first told you these figures were coming back in early February, but now images have shown up via overseas retailers for 3 new McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse figures including the Gold Label Unmasked Red Hood figure and the Injustice 2 Dr. Fate and alternate Hot Pursuit Flash figures. Check out the images below. No word yet on when these will be available in the US. The Gold Label unmasked Red Hood will be a Walmart exclusive.

Dr. Fate looks cool, although I would prefer more comic accurate version, but injustice design is def not a bad one, only bad thing is hands we get with the figure,  Fate be it in injustice 2 game or any other source material usually portrayed  with open magic wielding hands, giving him one accessory holding hand and fist is just plain wrong. Jason is cool, kinda looks like Charlie Sheen, I guess another domino mask version is also coming soon knowing how McFarlane is, but what makes me confused is why haven't Todd reused comic book Flash figure for Reverse Flash

Ehh I'm kind of on the fence with Dr. Fate especially since I have the mezco version, which I think is way better. I wish this figure came with more accessories. Everything else looks appealing but I'd pass for me.

Revealed via the overseas McFarlane Toys PH is our first look at three new chase Platinum Edition figures coming from McFarlane Toys. Looks like we will be getting variants of the DC Multiverse Injustice 2 Dr. Fate, The Witcher Geralt Of Rivia and Warhammer 40k Necron Flayed One.

With all three it looks like the figures just featured slight colored variations.

Hey Todd leave this chase variants nonsense for Funko.

It makes him a ton of money because the store hosting the exclusive has to pay for the privilege, and this isn't cheap. Also, variants are how companies can get the most out of their expensive tooling since it costs many thousands of dollars to produce a mold (I've heard $200,000+, but I don't know if that's accurate). The release of variants is how we get new tooling in future waves.

Good god those wrist joints are atrocious on dr fate. One thing I realllly hate about Mcfarlanes new articulation is his wrist and ankle joints are so rough.

I have this on preorder at BBTS. Yeah the wrists look funky but overall it's easily one of McFarlanes best comic based figures.

Kind of ironic since its not based on a comic version of him XD.. but i get what you mean heh.

Shown below via Jwmp_show are in-hand images for the DC Multiverse 7" Injustice 2 Dr. Fate figure from McFarlane Toys. Now Jwmp tells us despite having the Platinum Edition sticker on the front of the packaging, they aren't sure which version this figure actually is. Earlier in the month we told you how their would be a Platinum Edition figure for this one coming. In that story we showed you an image of it, and though the quality of it wasn't great it seemed like the lighter blue on the sides was more of a sky blue than what we had seen for the regular figure.

Now while the figure Jwmp has does look like the PR images originally released by McFarlane for the regular version, this doesn't look like the in-hand images for the regular one we previously showed you from Mark Collection.

It is looking like McFarlane got their two figure mixed up when they released the PR images for the regular version showing off the Platinum Edition instead. We saw something similar happen with their Justice League Movie Platinum Batman figure as well.

Remember Platinum Edition figures are essentially chase versions randomly inserted into the assortment. We never know exactly how many of the Platinum Edition ones there will be and when ordering online it's always possible you could end up being sent a Platinum Edition figure as opposed to the regular one. In the case of this Dr. Fate figure, the differences between the two are pretty minor, but I do think if you get the regular version you will get the lighter blue on the sides. The Platinum Edition will have the darker blue on the side as shown here.
