Amazon Studios Renews Robert Kirkman's 'Invincible' For Two More Seasons

In advance of its highly anticipated April 30 Season 1 finale, Amazon Studios today announced it has renewed Robert Kirkman's (The Walking Dead) hour-long, adult animated series Invincible for a second and third season. Season 2 and Season 3 will exclusively stream on Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

About Invincible

From The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, and based on the Skybound/Image comic of the same name by Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, Invincible is an hour-long, adult animated superhero show that revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who's just like every other guy his age - except that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons). But as Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers that his father's legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.

Invincible is produced by Skybound and executive produced by Kirkman, Simon Racioppa, David Alpert (The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead), Catherine Winder (The Angry Birds Movie, Star Wars: The Clone Wars) with Supervising Director Jeff Allen (Avengers Assemble, Ultimate Spider-Man), and Linda Lamontagne serving as casting director. Invincible, Kirkman's second-longest comic book series, concluded in February 2018 after a 15-year run.

awesome news, this show is excellent! I never read the comics but I would see it advertised everywhere when it first came out. I assume it is as good if not better than this show. Awesome that they are making more! Just dont run it into the ground like TWD!

Yes it's obvious and intentional rip off show, but stories invincible tells are the stories dc and marvel cannot tell or wont tell due to purity of status quo and PG rating, invincible isn't afraid to cross the line and what we get is surprisingly entertaining show that  doesn't seem even a bit stale, when DC and Marvel can't produce adult oriented animated tv shows on this level which is real shame for big two, I guess Young justice was close but got too convoluted. and like The Boys that were also an Amazon and Seth Rogen production, it remixes and improves source material, by which we get superior product
