Publisher Dotemu and developer Tribute Games in partnership with Nickelodeon today announced Master Splinter is bringing his command of ninjutsu to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge as a playable character. I absolutely love this and cant wait for this to come out. Such a loveletter to the older games and the tmnt license. My prediction is they will add 2 more playable characters. My thought is at least one will be casey jones but cant think of a good 8th, possibly out of left field.

Can’t wait for this to come out….but I’m afraid it won’t be as good as the hype. I get a weird feeling. Like the magic isn’t there.

Tribute Games and Dotemu have done some really great retro style and rebooted/redone type games similar to this that are pretty fantastic. Their track records are pretty good however how we all view things and how hyped we are may not be up to standards. But I feel like their track record speaks for itself and shows they can at least emulate what we know from those older games and modernizing them for today.

Publisher Dotemu and studio Tribute Games, in partnership with Nickelodeon, are releasing a good portion of hot gameplay for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge to announce the return of the four original from the 1987 cartoon! Physical versions of the game and the digital release of the soundtrack by Tee Lopes from Kid Katana Records will also see the light of day following the game's release this summer on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

These new gameplay images show the first two levels of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge: more twirling turtles than ever before taking on the Foot Clan in TMNT, from the sticky alleys of Manhattan to the hushed studios of Channel 6.

The thundering dubbing of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is provided by the original cast of the 1987 cartoon: Cam Clarke takes on the role of Leonardo, Townsend Coleman that of Michelangelo, Barry Gordon embodies Donatello, and Rob Paulsen once again lends his voice to the impetuous Raphael. The energy that emanates from the one-liners of the Scale Knights is infectious, and fans of the original cartoon will rediscover, intact, the magic of the Saturday mornings of their childhood.

Following its digital release, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge will be released in boxed form through Limited Run Games in the United States, Merge Games in Europe, and Happinet Corporation in Japan, and H2 Interactive in Asia.

Tribute Games is the studio behind the excellent Panzer Paladin, Flinthook, and Mercenary Kings, titles that offer a devilishly retro feeling with resolutely modern mechanics. Tribute Games welcomes talents who notably officiated on the beat'em up Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game, released for the Game Boy Advance in 2007.
