Amazon Prime Video today released the official trailer for Robert Kirkman's (The Walking Dead) upcoming, hour-long animated series Invincible, as part of Skybound Xpo: Creatorfest. The first three episodes of season one will premiere Friday, March 26, with new episodes available each Friday following, culminating in an action-packed season finale April 30th.

From The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, and based on the Skybound/Image comic of the same name by Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, Invincible is an hour-long, adult animated superhero show that revolves around seventeen-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who's just like every other guy his age - except that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons). But as Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers that his father's legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.

Invincible will also star Sandra Oh (Killing Eve), Seth Rogen (This is the End), Gillian Jacobs (Community), Andrew Rannells (Black Monday, Girls), Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2), Mark Hamill (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Walton Goggins (Justified), Jason Mantzoukas (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Zachary Quinto (Star Trek), Mahershala Ali (Moonlight), Melise (The Flash), Kevin Michael Richardson (The Simpsons), Grey Griffin (Avengers Assemble), Khary Payton (The Walking Dead) and more.

Invincible is produced by Skybound and executive produced by Kirkman, Simon Racioppa, David Alpert (The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead), Catherine Winder (The Angry Birds Movie, Star Wars: The Clone Wars) with Supervising Director Jeff Allen (Avengers Assemble, Ultimate Spider-Man), and Linda Lamontagne serving as casting director. Invincible, Kirkman's second-longest comic-book series, concluded in February 2018 after a 15-year run.

Can a comic series this full of cliches, over-used tropes and in which literally every character is a "pastiche" of other existing characters REALLY be called "Ground Breaking?"

Then again, we are talking Bob Kirkman, whose only claim to fame is rehashing the EXACT same zombie story EVERYONE has been telling since Romero in '68.

I don't know Mako, hit me on the head and call me gullible Gilligan, but I am super excited about this. I remember when I first picked up the first comic of this and looked at some of the names and costumes, pictures. I was like okay whatever. But the story just drew me in and got better and better. So many twists and turns just kinda different to me. I think this trailer shows a lot of promise for a great series. Live action movie or TV even. I really like it. Oh and by the way I thought the same thing about The Walking Dead, only I stupidly did not buy the comic. Color me dingbat on that one. You always get the first copy.

I never read the comics but i remember when it came out, it was on alot of peoples minds and it was very often talked about. Every comic store i went to had this publicized. I am very intrigued with this trailer and will definitely watch when it comes out.
