McFarlane Toys Doing DC Multverse 7" Snyder Cut Justice League Movie Figures Which Includes Darkseid?!?

We've previously reported to you about two upcoming 7" DC Multiverse Snyder Cut Justice League Batman figures being released by McFarlane Toys. The regular released masked version and the unmasked on that is a Entertainment Earth exclusive.

Well apparently according to McFarlane Toys Graphic Designer Noah Botica there are actually three versions of Batman being released. See the regular masked version also has goggles sculpted on his head, but there is another masked version being released that has the goggles on over his eyes. We actually saw this figure back in early March when initial images for the Zack Snyder figures first started leaking out.

No word on how, when or where this masked goggle wearing Batman figure will be released. Of course we also still await word on where the Armored Darkseid figure, which was another one that had the image leak out for is going to be released as well. Last we heard, Darkseid should be out sometime in July.

I have very mixed feelings.   I ordered two Batflecks already, including the unmasked version, but considered canceling my preorder at EE the next day.   Seeing that it was already sold out, and because I'm a superstitious cowardly lot, I went ahead and kept it for fear of regret.   But three of the same figure with a slight difference is Toddy Mc back to his old tricks again, variants galore and I feel like I should be looking under a sign at Toys R Us or something for the version I want.  Back in time indeed.

Todd is the king of toy variants back in his day. His very first Spawn figure had eight variants.

Well this seems like unnecessary from action figure collectors standpoint, especially when likeness is very far from Ben Affleck, looks more like Injustice Bruce, but I guess sales will tell how well tell us how successful this strategy is.

While we still don't have a lot of details about the DC Multiverse 7" Snyder Cut Justice League Armored Darkseid figure which we got our first glimpse at when this image of the figure leaked out last month. The figure is expected to be some kind of store exclusive and while we don't know for which store yet, it looks like we might have a timeframe for when it will be released. When asked about the figure on the McFarlane Toys Instagram account, they responded that we could potentially see it in July. The regular release figures as well as the other store exclusives are expected to be released in late May or early June.

I thought target had pushed back shipping dates for the rest of the dceu JL figures - with the shipping date now 'unknown' although some indication that they might ship in July.

Getting these on pegs months after the snydercut release will certainly do wonders for sales.

I got my masked Batman with goggles OFF today. But it was packed one per case with 5 other goggles on Batman. And it had a platinum edition sticker haphazardly stuck to it. Not sure if that’s how it’s distributed or if it was packed wrongly.

So if you ordered the regular edition DC Multiverse Snyder Cut Justice League Batman figure from McFarlane Toys, you may not be getting the figure you might have thought you were getting. The images that were originally released for the regular release Batman showed the figure with the googles on his forehead as opposed to covering the eyes. We first reported back in April that there would be another version of Batman released with the goggles covering his eyes, but we weren't sure how or where it would be released.

Well it looks like possibly the version with the goggles covering the eyes will be the regular release figure. The version with the goggles on the forehead based on in-hand images of it from overseas looks to be a chase Platinum edition version. You can see the images that come via The Voice of Reason of the figure below. On the package you can see the Platinum Series logo, which designates it as a chase variant.

Since the figure comes from overseas, it's slightly possible the figure could have some how got placed in the wrong package, so until we see images of additional figures with the Platinum Series logo on it, we won't say 100% the one with the goggles on the forehead is the chase version. Either way though it does look like at least one of the two Batman figures will be released as a chase.

The Platinum Edition figure from the Warhammer 40K line goes for $300-450 on eBay, so good luck in finding this one for retail. Count yourself lucky if you get this one. I'm still kicking myself for not getting that 40K fig for $35 on BBTS when it was offered.

Well, had to cancel my order for Snyder Cut Batman. I wanted the goggle up one...you know, the ONE THEY FREAKING ADVERTISED FOR MONTHS. Bait and Switch, False Advertising. Feels like the 90s again with Todd trying to make ruin my fun hobby with Chase items and variants.

So do we know what store this is coming? And I preordered Superman (Blue/Red) from Target before it sold out but is anyone else getting a September delay? Man mcFarlane is sucking this time around with ship dates and sculpts. At two angles this looks exactly like Cavill while others… less so, but I think my biggest beef is with his WW from WW84 having too long of legs and her hair is way too light brown.
Honestly, if these were 6” scale I’d be happier too… **Okay, enough complaining, I still want the whole crew, and also Desaad (Zack Snyder and his crew know how to do fudging-awesome designs.)

I have most of the JLU line and so having all these will be like when I collected JL Animated. This also is like coming full circle as in November it will be the 20th anniversary of JL. 😮

The DC Multiverse Snyder Cut Justice League Armored Darkseid figure is available for pre-order now at Target.com. The figure is listed with an August 16 release date. Being a Mega figure it costs $39.99. The DPCI# is 087-16-8759.

It's a bit surprising to see this one offered as a Target exclusive since it is listed as a Gold Label figure, which until now were only sold at Walmart stores.

Can McFarlane please consider giving alternate heads in a figure? I know Marvel Legends does something similar...but c'mon Todd, this is very obvious what you are doing here.

Yeah, we all know what they're doing. But at the same, pretty much most of their figures have molds specific to that character as opposed to Marvel Legends that makes use of extensive parts reuse. So can't really fault them for milking it...however lame it is.
