G.I.Joe Classified 6" Special Missions: Cobra Island Firefly Figure In-Hand Images

GeekHangover lets us know that he got his G.I. Joe Classified 6" Firefly figure in the mail from Target. The Firefly along with the Cobra Viper are both being sold as Target exclusives. These two originally went up for pre-order several months ago but quickly sold out.

The official sale date for these two figures is tomorrow 1/1/21. We have seen reports of some Target stores already getting the Cobra Viper in stock, but no indications that the Firefly

has arrived at any physical stores yet. Come tomorrow it may be that some Targets won't have gotten any their stock for these in yet, and the ones that do likely will have only gotten the Viper. The availability of Firefly at any physical stores come tomorrow is looking less and less likely.

Based on reports i've seen, the stores currently getting the Vipers now are only getting one case which contains 6 figures in it.

We also still don't know if Target will make more of these figures available online come tomorrow. If they do, the actual time of day they would be available is not known. In other words people are just going to have to keep periodically checking the website to see if they go on sale again there or not.

If you decide to head out tomorrow trying to find these two, we recommend you go early and we wish you the best of luck.

If you do go out and find either of the figures be sure to let us know of your finds in the COMMENTS SECTION below.

Yeah...

I saw the firefly fig, when you could still pre-order them...

Now it is a B!tc# to find them for the GI Joe collector...

Well....for at decent price, anyway. Hasbro other motto;

"We make Joe's for You, but only for a Few". Man.....You got love these guys...

Got Joe Collectors out there, running around like; a monkey with a hot pepper up his a$$ trying to find one.

And, my comment was in reference to a "REAL" monkey with a Hot Pepper up his a$$.

No group, No code talk, etc, etc, etc....

You got to be careful what you "SAY" today. Know what I mean? =^)

I can really feel for all you Joe's Collectors out there....Myself, I'll get a Joe, now and then...

If they had made a 10" to 12" fig (not doll) Firefly...You could have signed me up on the spot!

I wish all you Joe Fig Fans out  there good luck in finding one at retail and "Good Hunting"

So this morning according to the apps out of all the Targets in a 50 mile radius only one store showed having both the Viper and Firefly. That store was about a 30 minute drive away. One other store in the area a little closer showed having just the Vipers but no Fireflys. I decided to hit the Target with both. Go big or go home I figured.

I arrived there this morning 30 minutes before the store opened at 8am. A line had already started to form. I Was third in line but shortly 2 other people joined the line. knowing at best there would only be 6 of each figure available, it was looking more and more like there would be more people than figures assuming they actually had them all. The doors opened and we went in. Of course when we got to the toy aisle nothing was there. The shelves were practically empty. They did have the Transformers Dirge. We then found an employee and asked them nicely if they had the GIJoe figures in the back. His first response was if they weren't out on shelf they didn't have them, but then we pressed a little more explaining they were brand new and likely would still be in the back. We finally convinced him to check the back which took about 20 minutes. Finally he came back and told us that they were still on the truck and it would take a bit to get them out and bring them out. We all waited. At this point more people had joined the wait. We def had more people than there would be figures. Finally  they brought the to boxes out of them. We all decided it was only fair that the people who arrived at the store first got first dibs and only 1 of each. Everyone was pretty cool which was nice.

So long story short after waiting in the store for about an hour I was lucky enough to be able to score the figures. It only took getting up at 6am so I could be at the store before it opened, driving to a store 30 minutes away and then standing around for an hour. Of course not everyone was so lucky as there unfortunately were people who had to walk away empty handed.

I am glad I was able to get these, but it should not be this difficult to collect these. It seems the only lesson Hasbro and Target learned after the first round of exclusives is not send them out so soon so stores wouldn't really or able to sell them early. Of course this meant many stores still hadn't gotten their shipments in come the official on sale date.

The lesson they SHOULD have learned but apparently didn't is they should be sending stores more than one case of each. Each store should start off getting AT LEAST 2 cases for each figure if not 3. If this store had gotten 2 cases for each at the very least the people who got up early and came out at opening would have gotten them.

Not gonna lie i wasn't impressed by how he looked in thr promotional images since something looked off for me, now as i see these new pictures it is quite a mix for me, i kinda like it and almost don't at the same time, maybe it is the vest thay is off-putting for me but i do love that camo deco they gave to him.

Target screwed us over again when it comes to online sales... I started checking on Firefly after midnight my time and Target updated their page saying the item isn't in stock at my store or any of the surrounding stores.  It kept asking me if I want to ship it so I click the ship it button and it keeps giving me an error message saying something is wrong and nothing was added to my shopping cart.  Funny how it asks me if I want the items shipped but it doesn't add them to be shipped.  So I checked back a few hours later and the ship it button is removed and it and now is says "This item isn't available for shipping."

So either way Target screwed me over and it looks as if I head to eBay if I want this figure...

I had the same experience the day pre orders started and then like a month and half ago... Very irritating I should say...

You were lucky JayC... Good for you and look forward to your video review about them.

My local Target stores still doesn't have the new stock of these figures so no luck for me today...😕

yeah this figure I was hoping looked good without the vest, turns out nope, if only the camo went all the way it would have been nice..maybe I won't be so sad not finding this ever, and maybe we will get a second version without a vest.

Thanks! I kept checking online to see if someone had done this.  A little disappointing that it doesn't have the camo pattern on the chest but still a solid figure.
