Rumor Report: Move Over Santa Because Here Comes The Easter Bun.... Errr I Mean Black Series Jaxxon Rabbit

Today I bring you one final Rumor Report for the year with word of a new Black Series 6" figure coming in 2021. While not yet officially confirmed by Hasbro, I have seen intel that we will be getting what is likely going to be a Fan-Channel exclusive figure of the character known as Jaxxon Rabbit.

For those not familiar, the Jaxxon character which looks like a giant green rabbit was originally introduced back in 1977 during issue #8 of the Star Wars comic book series from Marvel. The issue was written by Roy Thomas and Howard Chaykin, with art by Chaykin and Tom Palmer. As the story goes, George Lucas hated the character so much that he demanded the character be written out of the comics, which in fact happened in issue #16.

Lucas' dislike of the strange looking rabbit like character however wasn't shared by all Star Wars fans, as he ended developed quite a bit of a following over the years. Then in 2018 to everyone's surprise Disney allowed the character to be re-introduced, this time as part of "official" Star Wars cannon with his appearance in the IDW Star Wars Adventures Annual.

So now it looks like Jaxxon will finally be immortalized in plastic with a 6" Black Series action figure from Hasbro. Of course we will continue to treat this as RUMOR until Hasbro says otherwise. Will you be looking forward to getting a Jaxxon action figure???

There's so many comic characters I would rather have than this guy but whatever.  Bright side if this is true I'll get to save money.

Comic characters, concept characters, movie characters, animated characters...oh well.

Exactly, like the Holidays Figures weren't bad enough.

Right, I mean I get that they were probably super easy to make and for some reason there was a market for them, but there's a ton of various actual Star Wars media with characters and alternate looks worth pulling from before $%!& like that.
As far as Jaxxon goes, I know at least one person who wants him, but there's probably a dozen characters from Ralph McQuarrie drawings to the video games (pre and post Disney) to the OT and the Mandalorian that I think are far more deserving of figures.

For real, if they wanted a quick low cost figure that would bring profit I'm sure there are plenty of Troopers variations they could have done by mixing parts that would be better than the Holiday Troopers. I definitely consider video games to have great potential for figures even the recent Jedi Fallen Order had some very interesting characters.
