JayC's Man Cave

I've shown you my main office before, but now I present you with a look at my Man Cave, AKA my basement. This area was always a place I used to shoot photos and film reviews. Several years ago I also turned half of it into a gym (which I really need to get back to using more often). It's not a fixed up basement, but I've managed to make it fairly comfortable place to hang out in. During this time of COVID, it seemed like the perfect time to make changes. I always like the house cooler than my wife does, who this year has also been working out of the house. So we decided with the basement being cooler in general, I could spend time down there without keeping the rest of the house so cool. This makes my wife happy, and it helps keep the electric bill down since the air conditioner doesn't have to run as much. 

Of course the basement also has other practical uses, like where the washer and dryer are kept, and other household items. I had to come up with a layout that made all that practical, but yet didn't feel like you were in a basement as much. So i threw down some rugs, added a recliner, set up a TV, computer and stereo. I also got the Arcade1up TMNT arcade game that I had been eyeing for a while. I even installed a fish tank (something I hadn't had since college). Oh and of course I set up shelves for action figures to display.

I like the AT-AT Walker in the fish tank and is that a MOTU Wind Raider in there as well?

For some reason, I always pictured your collection being of a million and one Captain America items...

Thanks for the sneak peek of your bat cave JayC...awesome collection...are those marvel legend boxes opened already? or you just want to store them back to their boxes so it looks organized?

No its a big pipe and AT-AT in the fishtank. No wind raider. Not a million but I have a lot of Cap items

No those are mostly extra figures I have accumulated or a few I just havent found a place for yet so havent opened. I think the only box that is empty are the Iron Man and Thor Alex Ross ones I kept for the artwork.

The Transformer boxes are all empty, but I love the art work on those so kept the boxes.

Wow! I always wish I had a basement for stuff like this. They aren't too common here in California. That is a pretty big space and you made it look fantastic with all the shelves, posters, and figures. You should be proud of that space, man! Thank you for sharing!

Great cave JayC, I like that you have Namor and Aquaman guarding the fish tank. We don't have basements down south here either, wish we did. I guess we know when our collection gets oversized when we have to store some in plastic bens. I used to open or display every figure I got but now like you I have several that I haven't even opened yet. Thanks for sharing.

Im a pretty big Captain America fan so the back wall of my main office is kinda like my Cap shrine

I love these pics. Especially a big fan of anything Batman you have.

I've made some additions and changes since the last tour video I did in 2022. I also threw in a look (See images below) of my wife's office and her Sesame Street Collection.
