New Voltron Ultimates Figure Coming From Super7

Super7 today announced the reemergence of Voltron, Defender of the Universe as an ULTIMATES Figure! This figure, their second Voltron release, is based on the original Bandai Voltron Lionbot diecast figure from 1981. This made-to-order release features metallic paint and an assortment of accessories! This figure follows up on their original Voltron release with a fresh colorway and improved articulation. Look for it to go up for pre-order tomorrow (8/21)

Second Voltron release... What happened? The pre order for the other one close months ago... What's better on this version? Just articulation?

Following up on our story from yesterday, Super7 has released additional details and images for their upcoming Voltron Defender of the Universe Ultimate Toy Accurate Voltron

Arriving to save The Universe: The Voltron ULTIMATES! 7" Figure! The ULTIMATES! Voltron is based on the original Bandai Voltron Lionbot diecast figure from 1981 and features metallic paint deco inspired by the original figure. The figure will come in deluxe packaging with this assortment of accessories and features:

-Vacuum Metallized Silver Blazing Sword & Shield
-Glow-In-The-Dark “Summoned” Blazing Sword
-Re-engineered articulation that includes thigh swivel

The Voltron ULTMATES! Figure will also come packaged in deluxe slip case-style box. The price is $45.

It looks really cool I gotta say. I'd really like it if we got some of the Pilots get made on a bigger scale, not to scale with this per-say just would be cool to get some 6'' highly articulated People characters that look like the original show (not this new one or ones)

Have people received the first Ultimates Voltron yet?  I preordered it and Toxi via BBTS way back when they were first announced but it’s yet to show up as in stock.
