Recommended Posts

I’m going to be moving soon and have a decent sized collection out of package.

id love to hear recommendations or suggestions from those that have had to do this before. I want to keep everything safe and manageable.

Very large rubbermaid storage containers, tissue paper, and bubble wrap.  I had good luck moving 6-8" figures twice (once halfway across the country by car) like this.  Repose the figures in the most neutral positions you can, wrap them carefully in tissue paper and put bubble wrap in between them in the containers.  Larger figures and statues...well, I always saved the packaging in case I had to move those, so if we're talking about larger stuff, and you don't have the packaging and styrofoam, I'm afraid I have no tips for that.

How far do you need to move?

1.  Don't over package.

2. Use tissue paper.

3. Make sure you handle these boxes and not someone else.

I'll think of more soon.

I once had to move my collection.  They are all boxed and carded.  I would usually do it at night so that no sun would get to them.  I also did it at night cause it was cooler.  I would load up my car securely, drive over, drop off, and repeat.

Hope that helps.

John
