NECA did an awesome job with these figures but I just can't get that excited for something that I will most likely have to resort to eBay to get or travel from store to store to store until I get sick and tired of it all.

Hope NECA finds someway to get these awesome figures into the hands of those who genuinely want them.

Following yesterday's reveal, NECA has updated their image of the upcoming Target Exclusive TMNT Animated Series Wave 5 Mondo Gecko figure. The new image shows off the accessories for the figure. Wave 5 is slated for release at the end of the year.

NECA will be making product reveals throughout the day and all week long for their at home Comic-Con event. We expect the rest of wave 5 to be revealed as the day goes on so be sure to check back later for more.

I’m going to make the most of enjoying seeing these images online since I’ll never get to enjoy seeing these in person (unless it’s through a glass case at NECA’s 2021 SDCC Booth....presuming that event even happens).

NECA has revealed their upcoming Target exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Muckman & Joe Eyeball figures which they say will be joining the recently announced Mondo Gecko. We assume that means this one will be part of wave 5 due out at the end of the year or early 2021.

Joe Eyeball will fit on the back of Muckman.

NECA will be making product reveals throughout the day and all week long for their at home Comic-Con event, so be sure to check back later for more.

You guys hide it well, but I sense a lot of bitterness in this thread. I can sympathize.

However, I found Bebop and Rocksteady, no reason to believe I won't find these.

With the exception of a couple of weeks In November when my Mom died I literally went to Target an average of 4 to 5 times per week from August through the March shut down looking for Bebop and Rocksteady.   During that window I checked Targets in 4 different states (California, Missouri, New York, Florida) plus Washington DC.  Didn’t find Bebop and Rocksteady once.  With Covid I’ve stopped looking but even the 3 or 4 times I have checked Target since March there was nothing there and not even a price tag for Turtles.  I thinks it’s very much a luck of the draw scenario unfortunately and even getting lucky once doesn’t mean it will happen again.  Hopefully these new ones do show up in your area but I wouldn’t count on it

I was about to say “shoot.... Does this mean I need to buy two of this 2-pack so I can have one of each Vernon on display”  then I remembered it doesn’t matter cause I’ll never be able to even find one lol

im guessing the other 2 figures in this wave might be the other 2 Triceratons showed before, if thats the case theyll probably pack in Vernon with one triceraton, Mondo Geko with the other one and it will leave Rat King and Muckman to be the other 2 pack (which will be the one everyone will be after)

I'm so glad I don't collect this line, or have interest in it... because the bitterness and pain that seep from these threads on these figures is real rough, sucks for every one who does collect these figures.. really does I hate it, because it also sucks to collect the Movie figures.. it's all bad right now in the collector game way to much exclusive action happening

Sorry to hear about your Mom, I lost my Dad at the end of May, and just recently found out my only Uncle suffered a heart-attack and is in ICU where they're not allowing visitors due to Covid-19.

Believe me, I'm the one a-hole on the planet who doesn't have to be told times are looking rough. That's when you gotta dig deep and find that strength to go on, that optimism. Things WILL get better. You say the Turtle figures probably won't turn up again. I say I've managed to find every other Animated Turtles release . . . EVENTUALLY. I'll find these.

I kinda like my way better, don't you?

Every post that NECA does in Facebook unveiling new TMNT is met with Cynicism, Sarcasm and lack of interest from the fans due to to all the problems getting the products. I can't remember the last time I saw a company piss off their fans/consumers this quickly, Mattel, maybe?

Thanks and sorry about your Dad.  Hopefully your uncle is able to turn it around.  Fingers crossed for you.  I actually had plans to bring my Dad out to stay with me in L.A. for a couple of months so he wouldn’t be at home alone being depressed about my Mom but Covid came along and changed those plans so we decided it would be better if he stayed in Missouri where it’s safer (for now).

I’m all for positive thinking but just being realistic I’m having a hard time seeing me find any 2020 store exclusives in store Instead of online actually happen this year.  For wave 1 and 2 luckily I was able to pick up all the Comic Con sets each year at SDCC thus I never needed the original 8 figures in Wave 1, BUT I was still checking the NECA section 4 or 5 times a week when hunting for other items and I only ever saw 1 of those original four 2-packs once (and it was gone five minutes later when I walked by again).  Over a year of going to multiple Targets (In multiple states) almost daily and I still never ever saw the other 3 sets from that first wave.  Then a year later they do wave 2 and for those I saw the recolored repacks of the 4 turtles exactly once.  I never ever saw the Foot soldier pack, the Shredder/Krang pack or The Rocksteady/Bebop pack (the only one I actually needed) despite checking almost daily for over 6 months.  Now we have wave 3, 4, 5, etc coming and just based on what I experienced with wave 1 and 2 there is really no reason to expect better results.

So even going to Target almost daily for a year and a half, finding all these Turtle figures in physical stores never happened for me.  Now add to that the fact that the world has currently changed in ways that make the odds a thousand times worse.  Gone are the days of daily toy runs.  Businesses, schools, conventions, etc. are being shut down because in order to combat and slow down the spread of this pandemic it’s important that we try to minimize even our most incidental interactions in order to limit the spread.  Here in L.A. we’re on the verge of going back into our second full shutdown.  In a city of our density keeping our interactions contained as much as possible is vital to our population‘s health and our eventual economic recovery.  That means no non essential store runs.  So if I going to the stores daily didn’t work before it’s really hard to believe I’m going to find any of these things on the one or two trips I might make every month or two.  And me going to physical stores more than that simply to hunt for toys would not only be a hassle given the current lines but It would arguably be irresponsible.  Thus for now even for stuff more common place, if I don’t see it available online I’ll probably never see it just because of the times we live in at the moment.

And while I have no wish to preach to others what they should do if we’re going to get through this quickly and try to get things back to normal sooner versus later it’s probably important that most of us (particularly in densely populated areas) reduce these non essential store trips as part of our pool of community efforts to overcome this world situation.  And to those ends I’m finding the way these stores and these manufacturers are handling these store exclusives and lack of online availability particularly frustrating on a whole new level.  While so many industries, businesses, and people are having to sacrifice for the health of the community by trying to stay in quarantine as much as possible these giant retailers that are making huge profits in these times are saying “sorry, you want to maintain your collection you’re only hope is to make non-essential store trip after store trip after store trip and just hope maybe you might find it”.  If we’re going to get through this Walmart, Target, Hasbro, NECA, etc needs to fix this for availability online.  They shouldn’t be encouraging unnecessary in person store trips.  That’s only going to contribute to the global problem.

Unlike Hasbro, I think Neca is legitimately trying to fix the problem. Remember, they didn't make the bots or the ball-washers who use them. All they did was make an incredibly cool toy line and try to get it in as many fans hands as possible. Given they're not a top-tier company, and the licensing restrictions they're forced to work within, you gotta give 'em points for at least trying.

I definitely think most of the blame falls on Walmart/Target.  NECA does not want this.  That said they bare some of the responsibility for choosing to focus on trying to win over these giant retailers that no longer offer the same benefits they used to and thus end up doing more harm than good for the health of these toy lines due to their exclusives and poor distribution and inventory awareness.  .

Holy Crap, It's Spreading!!!

There are five Targets in my area. As of Target's own website last night, all listed the Animated Turtles set as "Out of Stock." As of this morning, two, the ones nearest me natch, had changed the status to "Not for Sale at Location." As of just a few minutes ago, all but one had changed to that same status. I don't know if Neca just decided to skip the state of Arkansas, or what, but somebody better get their signals straight.
