Hasbro Fan-First Friday GIJoe Live-Stream

I hate that Snake Eyes. He reminds me of a coach I had in junior high. He carried this huge key ring with what seemed like hundreds of keys on it (I suspect ALL junior high coaches carried one). You could hear the guy coming a mile away by the constant rattle his keys made. With all the straps and gear hanging off him, I picture Snake Eyes making that same noise.

Not exactly conducive to stealth ops.

Thats cause they are in the process of putting them up. The walmart website may have luanched at 10am but they had nothing on it and now slowly adding stuff after Hasbro had their live stream. Yes not well coordinated.

Exactly. And yes, my job is showing as I've worked in High Tech project management for geez.. 20 years now? this was a coordination issue.  Easy to do? No. But, still doable.. it's 11:44 now, they've had plenty of time to get the site fully updated and here's the thing....whle homepage images aren't loading, items are still out of Stock! So what incentive does Walmart have to do these sorts of things better? With sales going this briskly, I'm sure all they're doing are putting themselves on the back.

interesting . the crankcase and hissdriver have new parts. also the prototype of crankcase varies from the in package and the one on the back of the box cover. , kneepads vs no kneepads . Hiss driver looks to have a vest with armor now instead of a solid chest block. so there are some new toolings on these . also old 25th crankcase had a solid fist hand on his left hand new one does not and the head also looks new

The GIJoe Classified SDCC exclusive will be Snake Supreme Cobra Commander. Not up for pre-order yet. Be sold on Hasbro Pulse and be available around September.

This is great news, at least I can take a swing at getting this in September since it's on Pulse

Mixed feelings about this 3-3:4” line.  I love the modern era line but these really are just repacks of the TRU 50th figures and 25th vehicles.  I ordered them anyway but if they are going to do more 3-3/4” modern era I’d be much more excited about figures we have not gotten before in the modern era style.

Did the Awe Striker actually show up as in stock?  I never saw it show up as available.

Id have to go pull em off the shelf but can say that would be enough to want me to buy them again.

Yes, the three figures are back in stock currently if you were trying to get them. The two vehicles are currently showing sold out but I would guess they will return sooner or later.

I have Snake Eyes ordered. I would like to get the two vehicles and Storm Shadow but don't need the Baroness.

Also ordered Ashoka, and a few Transformers. I must have about 50 things preordered from half a dozen different stores.

I admit i am both disappointed and interested on this line, mix thoughts right? disappointed because they're not the vintage O-ring figures i would had love to see them get a chance. On the other hand interested, despite that being the occasion i am still kinda new to G.I. Joe and i never had those 3-3/4" figures before i might as well take a chance to get them, so yeah most likely that haha.

So if they had to do a line of lazy repaints on retro cards, couldn't they have at least chosen figures that match the card art?

This all day everyday!!! That Snake Eyes even originally came with a goggled head. Also they had a later Storm Shadow from 2013 v49 that more closely matched the Storm Shadow artwork. Just lazy very lazy.

You expected something more from Hasbro? What does it even matter? They can't even get their over-priced garbage in the stores consistently, exclusive OR full release. What's it matter if its rehashed garbage?

It's almost sad. Hasbeen used to be the best game in town, now they're caught up playing these BS Mattel games . . . and look where Mattel ended up.

I wonder if Hasbro has lost the original o-ring molds. I was really expecting them to do the same thing they did with Star Wars and GIJoe and give us exact replicas of the original toys.

No they destroyed all their old o-ring molds. I'm not sure if it was in an interview or at a convention but they said they would never revisit o-ring styles again. It seems a lot of people forgot this.

GIJoe Retro is a re-issue of the 25th Anniversary.

Not exactly though.

I for one love the new vehicle drivers. I also like the new "realistic" face paint apps.

It looks like they all sold out except Snake Eyes. I hope brick & mortar Walmart will stock these too.

Not bad on re-issuing figures from 25th Annversary and onwards.  Though I myself was looking forward to some O-Ring stuff, even if they had to recreate them.  So far, nothing I really want from this year's Retro style line.

Though I suppose the 25th Anniversary line would be consider "Retro" due to the line now being 13 years old.

I am really interested in that 6" Classified SDCC Cobra Commander.  So different looking, and I love the cape.  If they ever decide to do Senpentor in this 6" Classified line, I hope they do his cape in a similar fashion.

That cobra commander figure looks really nice, dont think I need another repaint of him though even with the added accesories and cool paint but its looking nice.
