Back in early February we first got wind of a blue variant of the McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse 7" Batman: The Animated Series figure coming when it started showing up overseas.

Well it took awhile but the figure has finally started to see release here in the United States. While it's not entirely clear if the figure is being released as a Target store exclusive, that is the place to go to find it right now. Thanks to everyone who wrote in about it.

Who's excited about this thing? The animated toys are not only hideous, they are outright lazy. This is putting a different shade of lipstick on the same pig. I'm not sure why it took so long for some places to get these but they've been at my local WM for about 2 weeks now so I'm sure it's not a Target exclusive and though the Golden Wonder Woman has sold pretty well, I'd say no more than 2 or 3 of this Batman have sold.

WOW! A color variant that never appeared in any of the shows/movies. That's WAY better than producing more characters.

Hat's off to the Toddster. This line exemplifies everything I've come to expect from him over the years.

Of the McFarlane DC figures released thus far I feel like the standard version of Animated Batman was the least well executed and seemed to be the peg warmer of its wave so I’m surprised they would try and push this lackluster sculpt out again with just a paint variation.
