McFarlane Toys Warhammer 40,000 Necron Warrior Official Images And Details

Back in February McFarlane Toys surprised us by announcing they would be doing figures based on Warhammer. They even showed us during Toy Fair their upcoming Space Marine figure.

Well now it looks like a second figure is in the works based on this property with the Necron Warrior. Even though we have yet to get official images and details for the Space Marine figure shown at Toy Fair, we do have that info for this new figure.

Beneath the skin of the galaxy lurks the eldritch menace known as the Necrons. Having long ago made a devil’s bargain to swap the frailties of flesh for undying metal, they now stir to murderous wakefulness on worlds uncounted after millions of years of slumber, and seek to reclaim the stars from those who have usurped them.

Though they have the nigh-indestructible bodies of killer machines, the Necrons possess a macabre and captivating character, and their armies are many and varied. Whether it be a council of haughty Overlords and genius Crypteks fighting to outdo one another, a relentless phalanx of android warriors, a fast-moving swarm of Canoptek constructs, or an entire dynasty ready for war, no other army can match the resilience and sophisticated weaponry of the Necrons on the battlefield.

The figure is due out later this Fall and will include Gauss Flayer, Canoptek Scarab, and base. Check out official images for the Necron Warrior below.

No sooner did we get done posting about the new McFarlane Toys Warhammer 40,000 Necron Warrior figure, than they went on and also released official images and details for their Space Marine one.

They are doing two versions of the Marine, one painted and one unpainted. The unpainted one is meant for you do-it-yourself customizer types who like to paint their own figures. Both versions are due out this fall and will include a base, and a Bolt Rifle.

These look pretty cool, but I'd also love to see some figures from their Warhammer fantasy line too.

I'm loving that Necron warrior figure, i may not be familiar with the Warhammer series but that looks soo badass to get.

Wow what a license to get, McFarlane is going to have ALOT of money coming at him with this license. These already look tremendous but the roster of highly detailed characters that warhammer brings, the options are limitless if this line proves successful.

Oh, about that, and it's funny that you mention it, I know a group of guys who used to meet at a hobby shop near my house to organize some Warhammer matches, I have shown them the Mc's figures and, although they expressed their praise, they also expressed the only WH stuff they want to invest in are the ones they can actually use in their matches, basically it went something like this: "oh !, they're nice dude, but I prefer to spend my money on more miniatures", but at least one of the guys mentioned the possibility of buying at least the standard Space Marine.

Well the one thing I was thinking is Warhammer has some really really great character designs and I dont really look at this as for people that love warhammer per se, but more for people that love the designs which there are aplenty. I mean maybe McF makes a character that those players are like thats my character and maybe buy one or two. The hardcores just want to play the game more than anything. Howeveer for me, I love buying video game characters in figure form. But this is a different situation where they already have a figure essentially from their game... just very very small.

I'm not very into the space marines thing but as an admirer of figs and all things cool, this warhammer is off the hook! And of course since it's a McFarlane fig.

The reaction of the die hards fans has been lukewarm to say the least, I've never bought the miniatures (it seems to me that they are more expensive than they should) but I've immersed myself in this universe thanks to video games and at least I'm willing to see what results from all this, I just hope we see much more than just these three figures.

The cost is definitely due to the pewter material used. That stuff is always expensive.

Thats what the older ones that Ive known of were made of. That was like 20 years ago tho when my buddy was really big into it. They may have changed or there have been alternative materials now with 3d printing becoming a big thing and more advanced than before.

He kind of almost reminds me of General Grievous without the 4 arms of course.
