Mattel has released images for the cardback art on the upcoming Masters of the Universe Origins Trap Jaw figure. According to Mattel, this one reveals a prequel shot of the original Trap Jaw back panel, but from a different point of view.

It was revealed during Toy Fair that this figure along with the rest of the Masters of the Universe Origins line will see release later this year as a Walmart exclusive. In 2021 the line should see release everywhere.

Check out the images of the card art in our IMAGE GALLERY below.

This is one of the figures from this line I'm really looking forward to. Trap-Jaw really looks great and just love that backer card art, very reminiscent of the vintage style for me.

Not going all in on this line, more of a Classics fan but Trapy here will be bought on site.

My question is, with this line taking so long to release, how are they going to handle the upcoming movie and BOTH animated shows?

Are they getting their own dedicated lines, rolled into this, what?

AFAIK the film will have its own toyline, if it ever comes to fruition since the last rumor that circulated online is that its production would be postponed again.  As for the animated series, and here I understand that it will be only one, Kevin Smith mentioned that Mattel has asked to be provided with the character designs, so it is safe to assume that there is also something in development.

And yes, I also don't understand why they are taking so long to release them, they have already secured a chain of stores to sell these things, it wouldn't matter if they release them on summer or fall, but the agreement is already made.
