I've been collecting since I was a child in the 1980s; much of what I have reflects what I kept as a kid (G.I. Joe, Transformers, Voltron, Star Wars) but I have thinned it down to what I can show off to reduce a bunch of bins in storage.

It is quite diverse with a lot of smaller toy lines represented; some of my favorites including Starcom, Captain Power, ExoSquad and COPS to name a few.

The packaged Ninja Turtles were found in my grandparents attic when we cleaned out their house (fresh with a 1988 Kmart receipt).

Cabinets are the Billy cases from IKEA with the optional doors and two DETOLF cases I got from a friend.

My wife gifted me the basement when we moved in to do with as I pleased, these are the current results after 10 years of display.

Great setup and collection. Love how neat and organized it looks. It’s funny how we usually end up in the basement.

Thanks, the extra benefit is now I can avoid rebuying a bunch of things now that I can see everything. Basement also keeps out the heat and sunlight.

Love the organization! Glad to see someone collecting older collectibles and keeping them in an orderly fashion.

Thanks, I figure by the time the smaller toy lines of the 80s become relevant again I will be ahead of the curve.

Voltron.... AND Transformers! Hard to say which is cooler. Personally Transformers are my preferred.

I can see the dilemma...my Vehicle Voltron has one fist to go and is then complete. I slowed down on the Transformers as it's too easy to fall into the rabbit hole.

I love the MASK collection!  Everything is so neat and organized.  It looks great!  The GI Joe shelf is my favorite in the room!  Almost all collections end up in the basements!  I agree! That is where mine is too!

I got inspiration from a fellow collector to finally display all the ARAH figures on risers, never knew quite how many I had until I pulled them all out.

Where did you get those risers from?

I used workmat foam and cut individual strips each one inch larger than the one above it. Cheap and easy since you can't see it with the figures in front. Have to go back and trim the edges at some point.

That is a good idea.  And the figures do not fall?  They stay straight on the foam?

I hear you.  I  recently took stock of all the transformers I would still want to get for my collection.  Now mind you I have about 70!!!! and when all was said and done I still need like over 100!!!!

I bought the clear stands from smalljoes.com to make sure they stood up, I knew if I had to restand them too many times I would pull my hair out.

Thank you.  I have never heard of that site.  i will look into it.  Thanks.  Since AFA is no longer grading loose GI Joes I will need to get the rest of my set (about 70) figures loose and will need stands to stand them up.

Any new additions to the collection?

Finally got the Red Fist to Vehicle Voltron (Dairugger XV), just need to upgrade the head to a better condition one. Also purchased and framed a Starcom animation cel for the wall.
