Great look and articulation, but the Monsterarts price point will always keep me away. The NECA versions usually depict a decent if not great representation at a fraction of the price. For a budgeting collector, I can’t pass on that. Their Showa offerings have been amazing.

Looks nice, but I'd still prefer they released the one with the blue back.

Really? I've been debating whether to get the regular MonsterArts or not, especially since it has gone up in price. So Neca maybe an alternative.

I think NECA for the cost generally does a good job. Based on the images I like the look of this version of the Burning Godzilla a little better than NECA's. The orange pops better but when you factor in the price difference, if I had to choose I'd probably go with NECA.

NECA is my go to for Godzilla collectibles, but that’s because I’m a collector on a budget. I do the full-time job while the wife is a stay-at-home mom for our twins. If I had sufficient disposable income and display space, I would be collecting the Godzilla figures put out by X-Plus. Those are pieces of art.

Monsterarts puts out quality pieces in terms of sculpt, detail, and articulation. NECA is definitely an alternative and has been stepping it’s game up in terms of sculpting and design, but they have yet to match Monsterarts in articulation and posing.   Both lines have their pros and cons. In the end, it all depends on your preference and budget. That said, I’m very happy with my NECA collection.
