Lucifer star Tom Ellis revealed to Kelly Clarkson during her visit to the set with her daytime television show that the upcoming fifth and final season of Netflix’s supernatural drama will be split into two parts.

“Season 5 of Lucifer is going to be split into two halves,” Ellis told Clarkson.  “Netflix is going to drop eight episodes, and then there’s going to be a little break, and then they’re going to drop another eight episodes.”
