Looks like they may be going back to Endor in this one as well. I assume that is were Rey is running at the begining of the trailer and where they find the remains of the second Deathstar. Looks like Rey and Kylo face off in the same room Luke and Vader faced off in in ROTJ when they are in that burnt out room. You can make out Palpatine's chair and the window.

Also looks like Rey confronts Palpatine at some point. You can make out Palpatines hood in the top corner of the screen when Rey is standing there looking up at someone.

Ok I have to admit, that scene got me a bit to. I was expecting his eye to turn red right after that though.

My wife thinks the Skywalker who will rise will be Kylo Ren.

Part of me thinks that might be a possibility, I was discussing this with a coworker and we both agreed that it's something they would do. In the Force Awakens Kylo mentioned how he struggled because he felt the light side pulling at him, in The Last Jedi they kind of wanted you to feel sorry for him with the reveal of what happened with him and Luke. Then there's the fact that Kylo Ren is not really a Sith but a Knight of Ren, I could see Kylo being against Palpatine in this movie, defeating him and "redeeming" himself thus being the rising Skywalker or not at this point who knows.

I don't think this will be a bad movie and honestly I don't hate the previous 2, but I don't think this will be a great movie either. There are things I certainly didn't like in each one but at the end of the day the biggest thing I regret with these movies is we will never see Luke, Leia and Han reuniting for one final adventure. Not just because they opted to kill Han in the first movie and Luke in the second, but because Carrie Fisher is no longer with us to do it right. I know they will be using cut footage from the previous two movies to somehow put Leia in this one, but I think it's a safe assumption that it won't be the same thing if she were still alive today.

One day I am sure we will hear stories of what the original plan was for this chapter of the saga and how it had to change with Fisher's untimely death, but my feeling is Leia would have played a much greater role which probably would have worked out better for the overall story.

Ok Ok so my opinion is somewhat unpopular cause I neither Hate or Love the Last Jedi and the fans and Disney clashing against each other made the anticipation of The Rise of Skywalker jarring. I really didn't think I was going to feel that excitement again, But I DID! I hope Disney has learned from their Failures and fans can learn from theirs and bring balance to a franchise that deserves it and not deserving  a fate of fading away.I feel it's not to late and hope its  a Great Movie, Hope.

I heard he was going to die, and I was like ok, but hearing and seeing it hit me like a shovel . My heart ached knowing all that is left is going to be R2 and Chewie at least that we know :(

I honestly enjoyed it, I like how they are finally making kylo the main badguy. I also like the direction they are going in, because it really looks like it's going to be an improvement over last jedi. I am still a little confused as to what is happening to c-3po but all in all I am excited to watch the movie.

I personally like it. I’m hoping they don’t make kylo the whole become the skywalker they are basing the name of the movie off.

One of the best things about him is that he is fighting between being light and dark side. I just feel like if they just make him go good in the final movie, then it’s just making everything he did to get where he is now to just be pointless. They did it with Vader but I would like to see something done differently with kylo.

all in all tho, I’m really looking forward to seeing the movie even more after watching the trailer.
