The CW recently released a handful of new images from The Flash Season 6 premiere episode and now they have released another handful of images from the Supergirl Season 5 premiere episode, titled "Event Horizon."

The images consist of J'onn J'onzz, Dreamer, Alex Danvers, Supergirl in her new costume and a behind the scenes with Jesse Rath.

Season 5 of Supergirl premieres on October 6th.

Ok, I get it. The full-body suit can probably hide a lot more stunt-padding, wire harnesses, etc., but it is NOT a good look for Missy B., especially when you factor in the Euro-Trash Boris & Natasha hair-do. My God, they actually make her look . . . boyish.

It's like they're dressing her up as a transvestite, dressed up as Supergirl.*

Still, better than Titans Starfire.

* Given 99.9% of the shows subject matter, that analogy is probably more accurate than I EVER want to know.

Dag nabit if you don't come off as Hardcore Mako, but I have to agree with you on this matter. I'm surprised this show had lasted this long. I came back a few times when they had Superman and Lois on the show. But there's an old saying, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me." I'm done with this one.

I can't help it, all my life, shows like this were my bread and butter. I was the sci-fi geek who picked up that Fall Issue of TV Guide every year just praying it would have any mention at all of a genre series.

It really staggers the imagination that all it took to get me from there to the cynical nay-sayer I've become was the CW's current roster of DC series. Thanks a lot Greg, appreciate it.

The new outfit doesn't look so bad but the haircut doesn't suit Benoist at all, anyway I haven't even watched the latest season and I don't really have a desire to except for the curiosity of seeing Jon Cryer as Luthor, might just skip ahead to those episodes.

Okay, I get the body-suit now, but what are they gonna do later on? A baby-bump is one thing, but pregnancy has a tendency to make itself known as time goes on. There's only so much you can do with baggy clothes and clever camera angles.

Kara (Melissa Benoist) is surprised to find that CatCo has a new owner who has brought in a star reporter. New couples emerge and explore their budding relationships while J'onn J'onzz (David Harewood) receives an unexpected visitor.

Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Derek Simon & Nicki Holcomb.

Original Airdate: 10/6/2019

Oh yeah, those are words you never wanna read in relation to a Berlanti production.

Never-the-less, I'll be watching the Arrowverse shows this season . . . at least till after the Crisis. I know I'll hate myself later, but I'm just about over the whole summer hiatus thing. It's time for fresh viewing, but with McGyver and SHIELD on extended leave, and very few interesting new shows, I'm pretty desperate.

Plus, I've always loved watching TV producers scramble to hide a cast pregnancy.
