John WiIlliams' Score For Rise Of Skywalker Said To Include Themes Spanning The Star Wars Saga

Speaking earlier this month, Don Williams, a percussionist, and brother of composer John Williams, says about 35 minutes (of a total of 135 minutes) has been completed for December's "Rise Of Skywalker." He adds, " ...I can tell you that every theme you ever heard is gonna be compiled into this last effort." Many may only be brief references, "You'll be sitting there watching the film go by and, 'Oh, there it is!' The score is scheduled to be completed in September.

Williams mentioned themes for Leia, Yoda, "the Phantom" and "Darth," which likely refer to Duel of the Fates (from The Phantom Menace) and The Imperial Marchrespectively, but noted his brother "hides them," so we'll have to listen closely.

 

Now, I don't expect to hear "every theme" (for example 'Jar's 'theme'',  the cantina 'theme', Jabba's 'theme') , but, here are my best guesses....

Ep 1 - 3: Anakin's theme,/Across the Stars/Duel of the Fates/Battle of the Heroes 

Ep 4-6: Force Theme (Iie "Binary Sunset"), Leia's Theme, "Han and the Princess", Lando's Theme, Droids motiff (music heard in Echo Base Hallway), Imperial March, Emperor's Theme, Yoda's Theme,  Falcon pursuit ("Ben's Death & TiIE Fighter Attack")

Ep 7-8/9: Rey's Theme, Kylo/First Order Theme, Resistance Theme
