As much as I spend my time online, keeping up with the latest reveals, leaks, and other news, there are still times when I walk into the store and still find a treasure that I had no idea existed.  It’s amazing that, despite my constant browsing on forums and Facebook groups, I can still walk into a Target, a Walmart, or a GameStop and see something that has me say ‘WHAT?! THIS EXISTS?!’  Or even a simple ‘whoa that is way cooler than I had anticipated’.

The latter happened to me much more recently.  I am not a fan of transformers.  Like at all.  And my knowledge of the franchise is as surface level as it gets.  But when I saw the Siege Optimus Prime earlier this year, I had to have it.  I knew that the line was coming, but that was all I knew.! But then I saw it and I literally said ‘whoa this is way cooler than I had anticipated’.

The former, where I found a figure or line I had no idea existed happened last spring/summer when I came upon the Jurassic World Legacy Collection at a Target.  I knew there were figures from the new movie out, and Mattel had surprised me with how neat they were, but then I found Doctor Grant in the wild.  It transported me back to my childhood and I bought up every figure in the line.

Has anything like this happened to you?  If so, which line or figure?

Since  I don’t live in USA, we rarely do get anything that is collectible grade but I did had somewhat  similar moments, mostly in my childhood, when I first saw Toybiz Spider-Man animated series figures and Kenner Batman Forever figures being sold in stores, that blew my mind.  Another one happened with Spider-Man classics/Spider-Man 1 movie/Marvel legends era figures, I couldn’t believe figures could be so articulated and detailed

Definitely won’t forget the first time I saw that spider-man classics line in the store
