Deadline is reporting that DC Comics is bringing Darkseid to the big screen in the upcoming live-action Warner Bros film The New Gods.  The news was originally announced by the projects director, Ava DuVernay from a series of tweets.  From the tweets, DuVernay announced the director will be working the next day with Tom King, the DC Comics star writer who won another Eisner Award at this month’s Comic-Con in San Diego on the New Gods script.

The Darkseid character was created by Jack Kirby and introduced in 1971 as the cruel galactic despot who lords over Apokolips, a nightmarish planet devoted to war, torture, conquest and total dominance over living things.

Giving the fact that is this director I expect nothing.  Probably another flop.

I can't wait for Idris Elba to play Orion and Oprah to play Granny Goodness. Oh Ava DuVernay if you dropped out of directing Black Panther because you thought Marvel Studios guidelines made you feel that the final product wouldn't have been an Ava DuVernay film wait until you deal with Warner Brothers. jajajaajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajaja
