#SDCC2019 - DC Multiverse Images From Mattel

FASVB

Recommended Posts

Surprisingly enough, Mattel is showing new figures for their DC Multiverse line. Most of these we have already seen, but there are a few additions.  As you all remember, McFarlane Toys will be picking up the license for the DC action figures starting in 2020.

The Toybiz tribute figures have been seen in package and this may indicate that these are still coming, but the rest only time will tell.

Super sad about Mattel losing the  license when they finally got to characters that I really wanted. The ones that have came like the Vixen and Starfire are no where to be found for me. While ones to come like Poison Ivy and Katana are going to be just as hard to find. And we don’t even know if we’ll see the others they showed off last year like Black Canary. They had prototypes for figures a year ago and instead of releasing those we get new/more Batman characters instead?

Man that croc wave looks like quality is all over the place. Is that a young batman or just weirdly scrawny and needing a sandwich? And Croc is all over the place with his proportions... those feet should not bee that big.. and hes got gorilla arms.. I want to like this stuff but they have gone down hill since the four horsemen left. I know some are reusing their old molds but the new stuff is not great imo. Happy for those that are enjoying them tho.

That "young batman" is actually Dick Grayson Batman, when Batman aparently died after final crisis at the hands of Darkseid Dick took up the mantle and was the one who took in Damian and gave him the mantle of Robin, thats why he is younger and thinner (the new thinner body mold doesnt help either, he shouldnt be that thin but still he's not supposed to be as big a Bruce)

Well... that makes a whole lot more sense. Thanks for clearing that up.

Wow, a lot of Batman stuff there, are they planning to re- issue some of that past stuff or it's for exhibition?🤔

It's gotta be for exhibition.  I think that's just about every Batman related figure Mattel has made since 2006.

Trying to remain upbeat here. The Dick Grayson Batman, KGBeast, Katana and Red Hood look good. Half Shark half Croc is a must. It looks like they are showcasing the whole DC Mattel line with the Batman characters... They're are plenty of DC Superheroes, DCUC, Signature and Multiverse I would've included...

Expected to see Black Canary ...

Does any body have an idea if they will release alfred pennyworth in killer croc wave? Because it doesnt appear in the pics

Unless they cancel the figure in the very end it should come, since places like BBTS already have the wave up for preorder and the Aflred figure is listed in the wave, they probably will show the figure later during the weekend or sometime before the wave comes out, its mattel sometimes they just dont put too much effort into promoting their own things
