I agree with you on this one. It's a bummer that he's so expensive, but doesn't come with his original forearms and legs. And it's pretty confusing that they mix and match images of this figure with the regular release of the Mark 50 in the promotional images and on the dang packaging.
The online seller I buy from was confused and at the figure's first preorder he told me it DID come with everything shown in the promotional images, which didn't end up being correct. I've got him preordered and can't cancel it, so in order to get the regular forearms and legs I'll have to use the recently revealed Mark 50 nano set 2. I really didn't want to double dip on the Mark 50, but they got me good this time.
