Mark Hamill Voicing Chucky For Next Child's Play Movie

Actor Mark Hamill today announced on his Twitter account that he would be doing the voice of Chucky for the next Child's Play movie which is due out on June 21st 2019.

Yeah, kinda odd. Honestly not very interested in Chucky movies, but I hope he has a good time working on this film.

I feel it's important to clarify for anyone who might be unaware: Mark Hamill is voicing Chucky in a remake of the first Child's Play movie while the original franchise with Brad Dourif and helmed by Dan Mancini is still ongoing and a tv show is in development for Syfy.  Also the people who have worked on those movies and are working on the upcoming tv show are really pissed off.

Yes, that's right ladies and gentlemen. Child's Play, the stale franchise started by a low-rent slasher flick written around a tired cliche 30 years ago, is undergoing mitosis.

Kinda shatters your faith in Hollywwod, right?

Mark Hamill is a great voice actor, I'm sure he will do a great job with the role. He really has a talent with changing the quality of his voice to sound quite different. I watched Nausicaa for years before I knew he was in it as a villain. Makes me wish he had more live action roles too.

He's on a History Channel drama about the Knights Templar.  I haven't seen it yet, but it looks like it could be good.
