For drinks, specifically alcoholic ones, there's Oga's Cantina, which will features drinks with names like the Fuzzy Tauntaun, Dagobah Slug Slinger, Bloody Rancor and Bespin Fizz, as well as music from DJ R-3X, "otherwise known as Rex, the former Starspeeder 3000 pilot droid from the original Star Tours in Disneyland). You'll also be able to try such dishes as the Smoked Kaadu Ribs sold at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, and the Sour Sarlaac, a drink sold at Ronto Roasters.

"Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be the first area within the Disney park designed to fully integrate with the Play Disney Parks mobile app, which... will allow guests to find secrets and Easter eggs strewn throughout the land, such as translating a galactic language, participating in smaller side missions and learning about hidden treasures inside crates and containers. The app will also allow guests to interact with the droids roaming around, as well as ships, display screens and even drinking fountains. Disney cast members (park staff) will also be a large part of the land. They will all have newly designed costumes, which we previewed, and they will have character backstories to better interact in the world with guests. One of the more interesting parts of the costume aspect is that the staff will get to choose their ensemble from a large array of options. They will be allowed to mix and match some looks to give their own unique style."

A Preview Of Disney's Star Wars Galaxy's Edge At Walt Disney World

Ahead of the scheduled August 29th opening at Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios, guests were given a preview of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

Rise Of The Resistance will not open until Dec 5th at Walt Disney World Resort and Jan. 17th at Disneyland.

While nearly identical, you can checkout a comparison of the two locations here.

I guess it's due to the First Order being more recent and being created after they acquired the franchise but I get where you are coming from.

It's not as iconic as the stuff from 20 or 40 years ago, which would probably draw bigger crowds.  If they wanted to promote the current trilogy, perhaps they should have had the park be representative of all three trilogies.

I do like the constantly updating aspect of Star Tours - just hope someone is able to film those things and post them to YouTube since I only get to the parks once every half-decade or so!

Here's hoping it's not forever before they just plain open it up to all eras of Star Wars. I love the storytelling they weave through Galaxy's Edge, but limiting it to any one era of the timeline always struck me as a misstep. I'm quite happy to see Prequel or Clone Wars characters there just as much as Original or Sequel Trilogy or any other spin-off eras.
