2019 Toy Fair Preview - Mezco Announces Hanna-Barbera 5-Points Figures

Recommended Posts

Mezco for their latest Toy Fair preview have announced a new line of figures they call 5-Points. The two figures shown for this new line are based on Hanna-Barberaproperties with Birdman and Elias Kingston from Scooby-Doo.

The line seems to be named for the amount of articulation these figures will have but it is unkown what scale these will be done in. Our guess is in that 4" neighborhood but we will have to wait for Toy Fair to know for sure. Toy Fair begins this Saturday, 2/16.

This seems bad if that is what their DC figures will look like too.

IDK exactly what characters or brands they will end up doing for this line but I imagine the basic design will be the same for all of them. I mean they are supposed to look like old style SW figures trying to cash in on the whole nostalgia thing. Pretty much the same thing Funko and Super 7  does with those ReAction figures.

I know it would never happen due to Toho being so tight on the Godzilla license, but I would love a Hanna-Barbara Godzilla figure from this line.

There seems to be a lot of resurgence for that classic five points of articulation, 3 3/4” figures, these days... I’m not very much of a collector of that scale of figures, unless something really special comes a long. Like, I might be tempted to pick up a Harvey Birdman or maybe a Space Ghost.

Do we know the price point on these?  If the price is right I might pick these up.
