NECA has announced this previously announced but never before released Predator 7" figure will soon be seeing the light of day. Stay-tuned for more details to be announced soon.

Just realized that this is the Gotham Hunter from the Batman vs Predator comic. Guess NECA gave up on the 2-pack with armored Batman due to licensing issues. That’s a real shame.

^ Yea, that’s a bummer... While I’m not really into the Predator / Alien figures, I was actually looking forward to those Batman & Superman, Predator & Alien two packs. Which, honestly, I’m not even sure if those were the same thing as this. But still, they would’ve been cool to get my hands on.

Yea, NECA was really pushing to release them, but licensing conflicts derailed the concept. If no one else is touching the crossovers, I don’t see why the companies can’t play nice, there’s plenty of money to be made.

Oh, what could’ve been...

That's a shame, really I'm not really into Aliens , I love the movies but not enough to collect figures based on them but I would have been all over that Supes, the prototype look outstanding.

Yea, I’ve read is was due to limitations from their licensor. There was some talk that line wouldn’t be cancelled entirely. Instead of general release through retail outlets there was a chance of them being released as a convention exclusives. Not sure if that ever followed through, haven’t heard of anyone picking those up from any of the conventions.

Don't lose hope yet. Toyfair is around the corner and Randy said they would have some great announcements to make, including new licenses.  Remember Spin Masters and Mattel? Yeah that could also favor Neca. It's a stretch to think this now, but who knows. All we can do is be hopeful. They are not guys that give up easy. First was impossible to get Turtles outside Conventions and the Necasite and now Game Stop will have the movie ones. Thing might change for the better.
