The Intellivision Video Game Console Returns For A New Age Of Gamers With Amico

Intellivision which was originally owned by Mattel helped usher in the golden age of home video game play during the late 70's and 80's and now its back with the Amico.
 


Now under the banner of Intellivision Entertainment which is being helmed by Game industry veteran Tommy Tallarico, this new modern system promises remakes of classic Intellivision games as well as Atari 2600 ones and an exclusive library of 20 new games at launch which will be on 10.10.20. The system which will include 2 wireless chargeable controllers will retail for $149 to $179 USD.

Ouch — that price point, though... Not that I’m not appreciative of classic, as well as console, gaming. But, I’m led to believe that there are much more affordable, do it yourself alternatives to these, ‘over the counter’ emulators. I only wish I was so industrious, and/or wealthy, as to get the job done, on my own.
