Honestly, the new look isn’t that bad. I’m just not a fan of the simplified art form. It’s better suited for comedic or adventure themed shows. Story driven action toons should be more detailed.

I dig the overall design, as it relates to my love for anime... Of course, I will be very interested to see how the storytelling, characterization and action all stack up. I haven’t seen anything being teased about this series that has had me in any way upset. Unlike ThunderCats Roar. Which, I didn’t like, almost immediately, lol.

I'm planning on giving this a chance because I'm a huge Masters and She-Ra fan but I'm really not liking the whole high school look, it seems like this is kind of like DC Super Hero Girls which isn't the worst show ever but there are still other DC shows being made that we can watch with this, this is all we're getting so if they want to make He-man they will probably keep this same style and theme.

Have either of those shows even aired yet?

Nope.

After seeing the ‘Full Season Trailer’, I found myself really reminded of the Teen Titans animated series, quite a bit... Between the somewhat anime influenced art style, to the humor and more dramatic elements. I have to say, it’s really working for me.

See for me, animation aside, it kinda feels like X-men Evolution which I was never a fan of  because it was like, I don't care about how they were as teenagers plus why do they all know each other already? lol

That looks so cool. I love her hair. I'm not attached to the brand especially so I'm not too offended by the visual changes they made and the trailer looks interesting. It has that Avatar Last Airbender vibe to it. I might check it out.

Ah, see — I actually liked X-Men Evolution, even though I didn’t watch it religiously. I never really had those qualms about it, since it was kind of its own thing.

Well wasn't the whole thing that it was supposed to be connected to the X-men movies? That's why a lot of them shared the same designs and all that.

Huh, I must’ve missed that... I never really associated the two.

Yeah, I think they were just high school versions of the movie versions of the characters but without being directly connected.

Good to know... I’ll have to revisit it again, one of these days.
