You have all the SFV figures from storm or all of the MK figures from storm? or all of them in total? I do like some of SFVs designs for characters but not so much the drastic redesigns. Zangief for example is pretty much the same but I love how he looks and that figure is fantastic looking. Some others are not far from their original designs. I do love how Juri looks as well as Sagat. I hate that they turned Birdie fat but I get it, hes that fat anime archetype and hes still fun as hell to play. I could go on but those are a few examples.

I'm fairly sure I have all the Street Fighter figures from Storm and S.H. Figuarts, I still havent decided how I want to displays them scale wise though because I do like seeing a more exaggerated Zangief and M. Bison vs the SHF Ryu or Sakura and like the SHF Rashid doesnt look that bad with the Storm figures and I prefer the smaller Chun Li, the Storm one is all kinds beefy. I'd love to get a SHF Juri and a Storm Sagat and Balrog (which I think they revealed) I bet those will look badass.

I feel the opposite with the idea of seeing his head making him more mysterious. If you look at it, you can see whats under the helmet with such a high contrast with the green head. The white has very little contrast so you see bits and pieces... of something. I think they just like it because its rare and it blends with his green effects. I loved the toybiz one at the time only because it was the best mysterio that had been out there. I never really loved it and the idea of seeing the heads was definitely a bad thing. I also hated the shape of his oversized dome. It wasnt round, it was like oval shaped. and it made his body look super small in comparison. Also all the toybiz figures that have action features I despise. That trigger on their backs was awful. And wow kids are talking like that? I mean with social media, every person is trying too hard and trying to fit in and be like everyone else and hip. I dont like todays newest iterations and redesigns so I collect 90s because they, to me, are the epitome of what those characters were. That era and those designs were what got me into those properties. I mean you CAN still buy the dvds of xmen and spiderman shows. Or maybe their parents were hardcore comic nerds and they have them. idk..

I did like the light up feature on the Toy Biz Mysterio, the button was annoying but it wasn't horrible. When a kid only talks about how they grew up on the X-Men and Spider-man I always assume they are just saying what they think is widely accepted. Iron Man, Fantastic 4, and Silver Surfer were great shows that were in the same time slots so there is no way a kid who supposedly loves and grew up on the 90s comic book shows would not at least mention them. Then not long afterwards there was X-men Evolution, Spider-Man Unlimited, and Avengers United They Stand which weren't as great but nobody mentions those either, damn posers! ?

I was referring to the hypothetical wife. I didnt assume you were married. Stating if the wife you choose doesnt know your habit and hobby and doesnt accept it then shes not worth having to begin with. I do the same, no point in hiding and i take pride in the schitt I like. Hell Id want a woman that would potentially share in that nerddom or at least be open minded to it. I actually just in the last year ran into the box of cards I had when I was a kid, not counting the ones from costco. Some super rando ones. Just a weird kid thing i guess however I did find my dinosaurs attack and holy crap that brought back some good memories. Thats something youd never see a kid have these days. If you dont know what dinosaurs attack is, its a morbid cards that depict if dinosaurs invaded this time and would eat people. Most of them depicted random things like dinosaurs attacking a classroom or eating the mayor. Some i remember had like alien dinosaur beings and other things. It was really dark but damn I loved them.

I'm of a split mind on that because I don't particularly want to be constantly arguing about who is right when it comes to nerdy stuff lol Also, its fun to learn about someone else's hobbies and passions especially when they differ from your own. Besides, its hard enough trying to manage our own collections, imagine having to now include another person's interests in the budget, all I'm saying is you better be willing to cut down half of your collection or hope that shes loaded lol

I also had those cards as a kid, they were awesome and a big reason why I still buy Jurassic Park toys. ?

Most of the time we just see an exclusive per line. Storm has been all about busting out exclusives. I wonder if they just get alot of money up front that way. I dont know anyone that would like this trend except those con goers that go to EVERY one of them. or scalpers.

I stopped going to cons around 6 or 7 years ago, theyre so crowded, everyone smells, theres always a bunch of half naked girls you can't even look at, lots of pickpockets, everything expensive. And I dont know why, In no way do I feel like I have a bad life and I'm an overall positive person but everytime I go to a con I'll look around and theres always someone or a group of people looking like they are having the best time ever and it kind of bums me out lol

Those are great pics! I like doing prisma stuff as well. Altho I have the free version which has some weird slowdown and limitations. I dig your collection. I didnt know you got Ermac and Noob!? I really hope when my buddy goes to storms booth in NYCC that they may have some extra noobs and scorpions that he can get for me. Dig the pics man! I dont have a large storm fig collection otherwise id post it.. just kahn, reptile and subby.

Man these threads lately are like we are all penpals and im writing you all letters of how im doing. If I were like the newbies, Id have like 200 posts all with each reply haha. I never think about how much I type until I have to scroll allllll the way up to the top.

Thanks lol I actually have the free version also, I just messed with the picture settings. I got Ermac from BBTS around a week after SDCC and I had Noob since last years SDCC. Reptile is my favorite of the bunch because I can pose him all hunched over and lizard-like.

You should totally post, it would be cool to see everyone's collections and artistic styles and poses. ?

Btw, do you prefer the ninja's with the cloth or hard mask? I lean more towards the cloth mask myself cause I feel like the hard one should be a darker shade or metallic.

Maybe it sounds crazy, but I’m actually loving that aspect of the forums... When I first signed up, it was admittedly for the contests Jay C had put up, a few months back. After those were all said and done, as I still continued to come on every day or every other day, this place was beginning to feel a little bit sparse, and somewhat desolate of a lot of actual discussion. So, to see the lengthy discussions going on now — and also being able to participate in them — is something I’m really enjoying. Even when I can’t speak as readily on a particular topic, seeing you guys going back and forth, is also pretty cool.

I've also really have been enjoying talking with you guys, I don't often get a chance to talk about this kind of stuff outside of my family so this has been cool.

Now I understand why storm is coming out with all the ninjas 1st but MK has so many Unique characters in the roster

OMG I completely forgot about Sonya's existence lol I just assumed if they do females they would go for Kitana, Mileena, Jade, Tanya, and maybe an exclusive Sindel though with Storm it could easily be a NYCC exclusive Kitana and Mileena... ?

Wait til after the contests are over. It ll be like the gym in February. Only the loyals will be around. Ive been a member on here for a long time. I hadnt frequented it as often as I used to since the redesign and alot of the threads I used to comment on kind of died out. I tried to necro post one and its on its last pixel heart. I dont comment everywhere so I m not as involved. Just on posts that I really are all about. Im not one of those posters that are like OH COOL THIS IS NEAT or CANT WAIT TO GRAB MINE! When I post, I post a short story haha. Back in the day here for me it was like this. People would communicate and have conversations. I dont see the old faces on here any more and most are new comers that want to inflate their postings. Its kind of sad, however Ive been enjoying the conversations as of late.

Well I assume that I'm no longer in the running so I'm just here because I want to be and I comment on everything because I literally have or plan on getting or have watched all this crap. ? lmao.

They have some more unique sculpts coming. I think they just have to work out their kinks more. Liu Kang and Baraka were spotted at a few of the cons as well as the female ninjas and the cyber ninjas. They even showed an MKX Scorpion and an MK3 unmasked Sub Zero. They are of course trying to get most of their license by getting the palette swapped molds out sooner so they have "more" characters to make. Costs alot more money to make a unique sculpt than to reuse one multiple times. Just ask Hasbro! haha I cant wait for Sonya so I can have my victim of a fatailty ha. XD

I'm really excited for Liu Kang's Dragon but I'm worried about the price, I'm thinking around the $200 price point but hopefully lower. I really want a Jax and Kano too I really don't think there is any MK character I hate lol

It’ll be sad to see it slow down again, in that respect... Most of what took up my attention as I perused the forums after those initial contests were the custom figures and the Star Wars sections. And, any time new toy news comes up — this became my go to place for that stuff. Like a digital, social media Toyfare Magazine of old. I’d post my thoughts on whatever the new item or preview was, hoping that, by adding a bit of my personal tastes or sentiments, that would spark up a little convo. It did a little bit, here and there. But this has certainly been a groundswell, this time around. Oh sure, I’d like very much to win the contest. And, it’ll bum me out if I don’t. But, I stayed here cuz I liked it, without thinking another contest would probably come around — and not nearly as soon. So, win or lose, I’m still going to be here. As much as time permits.

I've been wanting to comment on some older threads but a lot of those are from like 2013 lol it seems like these have the most activity which is a shame, I'd like to talk customs, Star Wars, and all that too even though lately I'm having trouble replying to posts and getting some work done lol

It’s the same for me... I mean, I can talk my sister’s ear off all the day long, but since it goes in one ear and right back out the other, as she really isn’t much of a collector, it’s nice to have somewhere to talk about it, where it sticks, lol.

Wow thats alot of dough ! I think the SHF figures were more based on SF4 but probably not if they have Rashid in there. Im really anticipating Storms Sagat and Balrog. 2 of my favorite of the 4 kings of Shadaloo. I will have a hard time not wanting to buy them. SOTA toys did amazing jobs on their Balrog and Sagat figures. Probably my all time favorites of their stuff really.

I actually dont know many people that would compare the Ironman, Fantastic 4, Silver Surfer OR the HULK cartoons to the Xmen and Spiderman shows. Those were all on different networks and not a part of FOX Kids who were also killing back then with their saturday morning cartoons. Even more so than friggin Nickelodeon! Man I miss saturday morning cartoons and all that. Kids these days will never know the joy of them. I do not remember Avengers United They Stand. I liked unlimited and evolution tho. Evolution took some time to get used to the changes but it was a nice iteration.

I believe its great to have differences but when you are multifaceted in nerdy things, youd hope your sig other would be into that a bit too. At least open minded and want to partake in some form. I wouldnt expect my lady to want to collect figures but to know some of the characters, to want to game with me or something like that. It would be kind of weird if she collected. Also if she collects, whose to say she wouldnt be a worse hoarder than us?

It would be incredible if Dinosaurs Attack! made a resurgence in some form or another.

I havent been to a con and years and they started to really start getting more attention when ever other thing has a con for itself now. Its also hella expensive half the time. It has its positives and its negatives tho. Depends on the mindset and the overall crowd tho. Maybe you are jealous like #$## this is a con, STOP HAVING FUN! BE TIRED AND POOR!

Reptile is so beast because of that extra head. All his accessories are so amazing. I love using a combo of his stuff with sub zeros to recreate his fatality. I bet you paid some dough for Ermac and Noob eh? At some point I actually want to recreate a background or two from MK games and use the figs in that. Like recreating the pit 2 and maybe the level where shao kahns in the background and kano and sonya are tied up. Already got the centerpiece! I prefer the Ninjas with the cloth overall but the mask is game accurate to the rest of what they are wearing. I like both looks overall but the cloth does it for me more. Also its more ninja like.

Yeah man its good to have people to chat with about stuff we all love and enjoy. Gotta nerd out with someone. They are definitely hitting their multiple character molds so they can tapped that easy cash in. I would hope they dont do a distinct unique mold character as an exclusive tho. From what I saw of Mileena and Kitana, they seemed alittle off and a little bit of a birthing hip syndrome.. hopefully they shape up and turn out awesome. I know alot of companies that have real hard times doing female figures. fingers crossed storm aint one of them.

Well you did win already so you got your cash money/prize so yeah. Always good to chat tho. I have to be choosy with my options with figs so Im very limited right now. That dragon confuses me. Its so big its going to cost a fu$# ton of money if kahn and goro are 100 bucks. Or is that a build a figure with a future wave being more of a wave that has each part of him. Also who does that fully appeal to? I dont see that thing selling alot. Dude.. if they start choosing characters from the PS2 era of games, you ll soon realize how many MK characters you hate. Awful just awful designs and stupid characters.

Alot of old posters on here are gone now it seems. The boards in general dont seem as lively with the same folk anymore. Just contest posters and seemingly multi created profiles for boosts. I do find myself getting on here to check those notifications to continue the convos tho haha. It can be addictive.

Wow that was pretty long. I had to erase so much and scroll around so far to do it. I dont even know how long that took as Im drowsy as all hell as my melatonin is now kicking in. zzzzzzzz

Damn I've been so busy I keep putting this topic off cause I know it takes so long to write ?If you don't mind I'm gonna try to condense it and make it a little more manageable lmao

After I saw those SOTA figures I seriously was about to purchase them because they look so good but luckily I was able to restrain myself.. for now ?

I'm not sure about the Hulk but Spider-man, X-Men, Iron Man, Fantastic 4, and The Silver Surfer were all on fox kids except only Spider-man and X-men aired during the week I believe. I also was never a big fan of X-men Evolution.

I've known some girls who were way worse with their collections lol but yeah theres nothing wrong with sharing the same passions as long as you arent both competing over finances and all that.

I want to see an actual Dinosaurs Attack movie where thats kind of along the lines of Final Destination. ?

Well I've only gone to a con with a group of friends once before, but I typically just went with my brother which is still fun but different compared to going with a lot of people. I do wish cons were more toned down.

Yeah Reptile was my favorite for a long time before I learned about the lesser known ninjas. Like I mentioned before I always thought until recently that the con exclusives base price were $90 so thats what I paid for them, I guess now that I know it stings slightly but I'm still glad I have them.

I still really like the Mezco sculpt for Kitana, I think Storm is going for a thicker bulkier sculpt style which I'm not really a fan of, it works for Street Fighter but not so much for Mortal Kombat so I'm with you, I hope they slim them down a bit.

Yeah I'm only hear for the conversation and the new figure updates. Its really refreshing compared to the "why do you keep buying that junk? your wasting all your money!" lmao

the BAF is an interesting idea but I agree I don't see too many people picking up every single figure just to complete it. I was of a different mind that since Shao Khan was way more affordable than their original price that I had hopes that Storm would find a way to make the dragon affordable also.

I've noticed that there arent that many different people posting but it does make it more manageable to respond lol

Well that took about 45 minutes this time so we're getting better! lol

Yeah its a fun topic and does tend to be like we re writing essays but damn if its not intriguing. I feel you on the condensing. I will do the same.

Seriously some of the SOTA figures are so good its pretty great. But then there are some that have some really weird things going on with them or dont really depict them AS great as we are now used to. Most are awesome tho and they go great as a full set overall.

Hulk and Ironman and Fan4 werent on fox kids. Hulk and Ironman were back to back with eachother on UPN. Actually The Fan4 one was also in that. They swapped out either Hulk or Ironman to fill the Marvel Action Hour that had Stan Lee introing the episodes. They later syndicated FF on fox kids/disney xd years later. They were shows I loved watching with my dad. Silver Surfer show (which I barely remembered) was on Fox Kids years after xmen and spidey shows were on. Like late 90s. Dude fox kids was the #$##.. I miss it. Spidey and xmen were saturday morning cartoons until they started syndicating them later on. Xmen evolution was a kids wb show.

Ive not known any girls with nerdy collections like ours. Would be hella weird to compete over finances over toys haha.

I would be ok with seeing an animated dinosaurs attack show on say adult swim!. Would fit fantastically and could be campy like attack of the killer tomatoes or something. Its a license that really should be resurrected but sadly will probably never see the light of day again among other wonderful 80s properties.

Ive been to alot of cons. Always with friends and never alone. As Ive gotten older most of my friends dont do that anymore of have time for it anymore. I need new friends that are younger haha. When I went to SDCC like in 09, (wow that was almost a decade ago!) it was like sensory overload. So much stuff going on and things to look at and do. It was very taxing on me and just about too much going on.

I wish they wouldve done more with my boi Sub Zero. His accessories are kind of lacking. I do like his meat head and spine which allows for some customized scenes with reptile. I really hope they have some noob and scorps left over at NYCC so my friend can nab them for me. If not at least I will have the others. Hes going Thursday and Friday so I doubt they ll run out on the first day.

I dont like the 'thicc'-ness of what they are going for with the ninja girls. I kind of think they are still figuring out their looks as these figures show more skin akin to their chun li. Their figures up until now all hid their waste articulation too. I think those designs are a WIP, or at least I hope so. Altho Kahn and Goro are Thickbois.. so who knows. The ninjas were never super jacked so would be weird if they were the same.

Well we are a community of like minded individuals that have similar tastes to talk about. One cant talk Cars with someone that doesnt like them to begin with.

I feel like that dragon is too big to sell as is. All those sections also kind of scream BAF as who would want JUST the Liu Kang dragon fatality? Kahn and Goro make sense to be deluxe figures. They are bosses. The dragon has also been worked on for years now so who knows what they are planning. Maybe NYCC we ll find out more or just see it again and thats it.

I think anyone that comes to this thread is like nope, ill just respond to the OP topic and let those guys do their thing. I did sort of similar when I saw you and SXblues talking about transformers. I was a part of that thread for a bit, hadnt been back for a few days, come back and you guys have essays like this. I was kind of like.. all that readinggg to catch up? naahhh pass.

that may have taken 45 mins to type.. but now you got 45 mins to catch up and read this haha.

I remember those! Were a lot of fun! All the classic villains were there. Mandarin was perfect. Which reminds me that we need a new figure of the classic Mandarin.

Just gonna throw this in: I'm married and mi wife loves the geek stuff, BUT, she is not into my hobby. Started when I was in a bad place and collecting was a way to cope with that. Reminded of a simpler time as a teenager, collecting just comics and being overall happy. She know that, but says that I spend a lot of money with "little dolls" (THEY'RE NOT DOLLS!!!). Anyway I've had some problems because of that, but I think is over. For now.

I'm an overall positive person but everytime I go to a con I'll look around and theres always someone or a group of people looking like they are having the best time ever and it kind of bums me out lol

I will be one of those people as soon as I get to go in one.

Thanks lol I actually have the free version also, I just messed with the picture settings. I got Ermac from BBTS around a week after SDCC and I had Noob since last years SDCC. Reptile is my favorite of the bunch because I can pose him all hunched over and lizard-like.

Dude. I'm so jealous right now. Scorpion and Sub-Zero is all I need to be happy.

I've also really have been enjoying talking with you guys, I don't often get a chance to talk about this kind of stuff outside of my family so this has been cool.

Hey. Me too. My wife just can't take anymore of my action figure conversation. So this has been a lot of fun.

I've been wanting to comment on some older threads but a lot of those are from like 2013 lol it seems like these have the most activity which is a shame, I'd like to talk customs, Star Wars, and all that too even though lately I'm having trouble replying to posts and getting some work done lol

Well, we could resurrect those if they're still intersting. I haven got the time to go over every single one.

Just saw this post of yours and decided to jump in.

How come I was disappointed with it all or how come I lost motivation? I dont want to make this thread into essentially another transformers thread but those are pretty much my reasons. I think when I saw the threads newest responses, I was tired and there were alot of peoples responses that I wanted to respond to but was just tired. Honestly there isnt much for me to say on how I feel about the films overall tho.

On a on topic note, Oh man NYCC is so close now. Im getting excited. I hope we get more news from Storm and me personally from Hasbro Legends wise as well as I hope my dude can pick me up some more ninjas. :D

Ok I understand now. But we can still talk about the figures.

Yes! We will see some nice things and I am also hopeful for some cool X-Men reveals

I wonder if we ll see new finalized MK storm stuff and maybe a sneak at the samurai shodown figs! and maybe we ll see more of the king of fighters figs like Terry and Iori! and mayhaps more Tekken stuff? And in SF will we finally Storms Sagat and Guile? I hope we get to see finalized cybers and friggin release dates.

As for Xmen news, we gotta find out the BAF for the xmen wave still. I mean its probably going to be Strong Guy but Im kind of torn wanting and not wanting it to be him. Theyve covered alot of my favorite Xmen characters already that are already amazing BAFs. Also will we see a new goddang Dr. Doom!?! I already know we re going to see the dumb ironman doom.. ? but I want a revised classic doom!

NYCC speculation is at an all time high!

I'm still pretty sick and just got done writing another essay in the Titans thread so this may be short as I feel pretty dizzy already lol

I'll probably wait on SOTAs for a bit and see what Storm and SHF are bringing out and maybe put a few here and there down the road.

Those shows were most definitely on Fox Kids lol though I'm not sure on our ages so maybe it started on another channel but I'm 32 and was probably in middle school when I started watching those shows and we didn't have cable or satellite, we only had 4 channels, Fox, NBC, ABC, and PAX and none of them came in all that well lol But I'm certain that Fox had those shows because it was the only channel I ever watched my shows on. after school I'd come home everyday and watch Young Hercules, Digimon, Spider-man, and the rest always changed, Beetle Borgs, Power Rangers, Mystic Knights lol

I knew one with a pretty extensive barbie and beanie baby collection lol

I'd be for an animated version of Dinosaurs Attack but animation is so different these days, it may look like it was all hyped up on cocaine lol

I'm more used to anime conventions, I almost went to SDCC when I lived down there but I ended up moving. And yeah all of my old friends act extremely "adult" I guess? lol Its weird, they all have jobs, kids, and they all look and act like life just beat the s%$& out of them lol Nobody wants to just come over and chill or hang out anywhere anymore. And back to the girl thing, most girls I meet just want to settle down and get married or want help raising their kid and here I am with more of the high school mindset of just wanting a cool girl to hang out with lol

I'll be honest, I haven't messed much with the Storm accessories, I just like playing with them and seeing them with other figures lol Let us all know if he was able to get them for you, it would be cool to know that there may be a stock increase for people who missed out.

Shouldn't be that hard to slim up the ninja girls unless thats the aesthetic they are going for.

Well, I collect a lot of 3rd party transformers so you'ld be amazed at the size and quality of a figure you can get for $200 or so also they could always make the dragon hollow like the throne to bring down the price.

Yeah, I always save this thread for last now cause it takes so long to write lmao

well its shorter but still took about the same amount of time, oh well ?

I remember those! Were a lot of fun! All the classic villains were there. Mandarin was perfect. Which reminds me that we need a new figure of the classic Mandarin.

That show is the reason I always liked Iron Man and why I was so disappointed in the 3rd movie, I really hope they do a true Mandarin before RDJ steps down.

I wonder how I'm going to manage having 3 different conversations now in this thread lol

Dang slow it down. You dont have to respond right away, give it time, drink some tea and maybe play a few rounds of sfv! haha. I enjoy a good convo as i am a talker just like my mother.. and a nerd like my father sooo yeah.

I would say SOTAs are necessary by any means. They will probably not scale with any storm figs as pointed by my mk comparison, but if you are a fan of a certain character, id buy every version of that character or characters. I at some point need to grab the nostalgia akuma as i have to have all that i find of him.. minus the uggo sfv version.

I looked them up on dem internets. Its quite possible that those shows went into syndication on Fox Kids/Disney XD when you watched them. Hulk/Ironman/F4 definitely premiered on UPN first. They were all a part of the same power hour of sorts with Stan the man. We definitely have some age gapage as im 37. They all premiered in 1994 which would place me around 13/14. Not sure exactly what channels we had at that tiime. This is the thing i was referring to: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Marvel_Action_Hour

I agree animation is very different these days. They dont even use traditional animation celluloid anymore. Thats another of my collections is animation cels haha. Street Fighter and other fighting game properties to be exact haha. But cartoons these days are dumb af. And they keep remaking classic cartoons into the stupid that is todays generation of cartoons and acting like its monumental and really doing those characters justice.. nope. But some are like the new Voltron for instance is fantastic.

Yep exactly how my friends are for the most part. The best word to use to describe them is "worn" or too busy. Cant do fun things anymore, its all stress, worry, and tiredness for them and their future. Its unfortunate. People like to think thats what being an adult is. I guess if you have kids and all that maybe but Ive seen people that can pull it off just fine. Bro I m in the same boat with girls. Id like a cool chill chick and they are just not around me.

I will definitely let everyone know how it goes. I really hope they have a noob and or scorp there but im not counting on it. If anything id be just happy with a smoke, rain and an ermac. With my storm mk setup its basically Reptile vs Sub zero with shao kahn in the background as a backdrop like the games. From time to time ill have one of them doing a fatality on the other. Subs is obvious but Reptiles is great bc you can change out subs head with his bloody skull and then have Reptile with his alt head and long tongue so its like his mk2 fatal where he eats it. Its kind of a combo fatal as I think there was one where he spit acid on their face and then ate that but not in mk2.

Well I think Storm sculpts most of their figures traditionally and not digitally so they could possibly edit their proto sculpts? idk. I hope they lose most of that nicki minaj ass and legs tho.

Ive seen alot of those $200 transformers and yeah hasbro and most of the transformer makers hollow out every area of the figure (which kind of gives it a robotic look anyways) to cut down costs of the plastics. Im very intrigued on what they are going to do with it.

I feel you. Gotta play catch up to the pen pals! haha

Seems collecting is contagious with tragedies. I majorly started collecting during and after my father died. Or it became more intense during that period and onward. Only now do I start realizing the overflow of my hobby and have been slowly trimming down on it all.

That Mandarin bit in IM3 was pretty much ultimately ruined that movie for me. I had so much hype and then sploosh... the turd dropped. The cartoon is what really intro'd me to Mandarin. Id almost wonder if they actually did him nowadays if it would get some kind of race politics and appropriate crap involved in it. I mean people got butt hurt because Danny Rand/Iron Fist wasnt ASIAN!?!? like wut.

In my case it was my grandmother. She helped my mom raised me and once I lost my mother she was the only real family I had left.

With the China deal it is almost impossible for them to do that. Maybe he will be from some other country even a fake one and mixed ethnicity. In the short "All hail the King" they stated that he is real and exists somewhere. That short is canon in the MCU.

I thought the legs of both Kitana and Mileena were weird, but then I played MK2 again and they are like that. If youare refferent to Chun Li, I have no complaints also. Great legs.

I’ve heard a lot of speculation that it is going to be Strong Guy... And, I’m of two minds about that. On the one hand, it’s kind of cool to me, as I really got into X-Factor, back in the day. And, I really want that core team of Havoc, Polaris, and all of them. But, on the other hand, I haven’t been able to complete even a single BAF. Both due to the lack of affordability, on my budget, to snag all of the figures in a single wave. As well as the fact that I almost never want every figure in a respective wave. I’m still kinda sore that I never could put together Juggernaut, Jubilee, Mantis, Apocalypse, and I’m sure a few others. So, it’ll be a double-edged sword to me, if it plays out true that it’s him.

For some reason I cant fully quote you but here goes. Ill be 38 in November ? The shows premiered on UPN and then years later went into syndication on Fox Kids. Unless UPN wasnt available where you guys were and they made a deal with fox kids in your territories. I know companies have done that before like that Canadian company that did a bunch of kids shows like reboot and others in different territories outside of Canada.

I used to not really dig cartoons like bugs bunny and all that, but with todays kids shows, they seem soooo much better. Also with age im more appreciative of things than I was when I was younger. Its also a dying art so that also makes me cherish them more.

I made sure to grab my favorite MK character when he went up for sale. The price was rough but I had to have him. So much so that I skipped out on Scorpion. Scorpions fig is just so bland. But that color palette is so symbolic and just goes so well with Reptile and Sub Zero. Its like a huge hole in my collection because hes not there.

They are a little bit but in the figures its much more exaggerated. I think due to the articulation most likely. And nope I dont have a problem with chunners as she has always had those overly exaggerated legs.

Strong guy has been rumored for forever now. But they did give a hint at i think SDCC where Dwight says the baf is Strong and LARGE or something like that. You know you can buy bafs online for fairly affordable prices right? or buy a wave and sell the ones you dont want on ebay. Its what I tend to do. Most of the time I dont want every figure in the wave, usually its like 50-70% of them. So the ones I dont want, I snag the baf part and sell as is in the box online or in a Lot. Jubilees wave was ass and that is a figure they will def be re-releasing at some point. Juggs wave i was so excited for I had to preorder it. There were too many gems in there that I couldnt afford not to grab before they were gone. Mantis wave is all $5 at these stores called Five Below, if you dont have one of those, you should join this FB group Im a part of and get some of the guys to hook you up. Apoc is still around but thats a wave like Jugg where theres alot of gems in it and i ve rarely found them all in store, most have been online.

So im doing a separate double post *GASP!* because my friend is at NYCC and I wanted to let you guys have an update on what is there and all that fun stuff. So he was able to snag me Ermac, Smoke and Rain. They didnt have a Scorpion but they did have a bloody Noob but they were selling him for $70, $77 after tax or something like that. Also Ermac wasnt $55 like he was at SDCC.. he was also $70!! So I got a hefty bill coming to me from my friend but like I said in an earlier post, Id be glad to just get Ermac, Smoke and Rain.. Altho I really wanted a Noob to go with my Smoke. ? No way in hell im paying $90 for him. The bloody $70 version on BBTS is already hard enough to swallow. I think Storm is starting to up their prices and its worrying the hell out of me. Ive seen alot of random non msrp pricings and they are only inflating more and more. I dont like seeing this trend.
