The Predator NECA Figures On Display At Predator Launch Party

NECA posted some images via Twitter last night of their new figures based on The Predator movie. The figures were on display at a special Predator launch event for the movie. In these images we get our first look at their large Assassin Predator painted as well as what appears to be a variant for Ultimate Fugitive Predator. This version looks to be done in the infrared type colors, which is how Predators see things. NECA hasn't announced any details for it so we aren't sure what the Predator Reebok shoe has to do with the figure if anything. From one of the images it looks like the figure will be released at Target, f.y.e and one other place we can't make out on the tag. Stay-tuned for more details on this as I am sure will be coming later today.

The Predator and Alien lines are the flagship of NECA. The sculpts and designs allow them to make endless variants with the same mold with only minor tweaks. Extremely cost effective for NECA.

Yea, I’m in the same boat. I’ll pickup the classic Predator and Alien design from NECA for my collection, but that’s it. I’m more interested in their Godzilla line, which doesn’t receive nearly as much attention as their horror lines.

That said, NECA’s relationship with Toho has improved, so I’m hoping to see more production in the future. Their upcoming Godzilla ‘62 looks amazing and they snagged the rights to Godzilla: KotM (2019). Looking good for the G-fans.

IMO - the NECA’s have a solid sculpt and take some artistic license with the designs that come out nicely. That said, Tamshi sculpts, details, and articulation are far superior.

NECA remains a relevant option due to being far more affordable, $20-30. Tamshi is all over the place price wise, with most ranging between $70-$150. That doesn’t factor in shipping costs as few making to stores state side. Those that do are marked up in price. If I’m gonna pay that much, a might as well go with the larger X-plus figurines.

For a Godzilla collector on a budget, NECA fulfills the need.

Thats fine with me, I actually really like the comic versions that have been coming out. Although if they want to make a figure of what happens at the end of that movie then I'm all into that.

Y’know, I got a reply from him earlier that I was sure I’d gotten before — word for word... And now, I just caught it in another thread where I quoted him on the 22nd, and he deleted that original post, to post it again, copy/pasted, three hours ago. That’s some kinda b.s.

Think I’ll run it past Jay C and see what he thinks.

Hey guys, if you have a concern about someone's post for whatever reason contest related or otherise, feel free to bring it to my attention via PM, but lets not turn threads like this into unrelated conversations. We can see peoples posts histories so if someone thinks they are being clever, they probably really aren't  and  if a post is deemed spam or such then it doesn't get counted its that simple, but again lets keep the conversations on topic and again if anyone has concerns about a post feel free to hit me up in PM about it as some already have.
