Hasbro this weekend during the The Official Power Morphicon Convention in Anaheim, California revealed the White Ranger which is the first figure in their new 6" collector oriented line being called Power Rangers: The Lightning Collection. The figures in this line will be incorporating Hasbro's Photoreal digital face printing technology which we have seen them use recently with their 6" Star Wars: Black Series figrues. The White Ranger figure is based on Tommy Oliver's likeness which seems pretty dead on from what we see here. The figures in this line will start out costing $20 each and incorporate things like helmeted and un-helmeted heads, multiple pairs of hands and signature weapons like the White Ranger's Saba sword. Look for these figures to start hitting shelves in Spring 2019.

That's all well and great, and I'm super crazy excited about it. But this will be the third line that begins and we have to start at the beginning with MMPR. What about the COMPLETE Legacy Collection that's basically the same thing without non helmeted heads. I'm very excited. But I'm now tempted to just sell my Legacy figures if Hasbro is going to do them all better.

I am beyond excited about this. The scale is perfect and articulation looks amazing. I hope they all get unmasked heads and accessories. We will finally have amazing figures at an accessible price.

They will probably not finish on time and since the license expires at the end of this year, this will be the end of it.

I passed on those figures because I had the SH Figuarts versions and also......I just had a feeling these EXACT figures would come to us some day.  I actually have very few American released Bandai PR figures....

I would seriously consider picking this version of Tommy up. I never liked Power Rangers as a teen, but did snag a White Ranger McDonald's happy meal toy back in the day just so I could have him. He still sits in my childhood bedroom closet at my parent's house.

And now you're gonna combine him with Marvel Legends level of articulation?! Sold!!!

This new line will be awesome, the face scan looks very cool and the price cost pretty sweet

It is hitting a sweet spot between with price and quality.

Hasbro has really upped their game with their live action properties.

Myself I'd prefer the import quality but that comes at a huge cost when we are discussing the MMPR line as the Figuarts are all sold out and a secondary market commodity.

I’m so excited for this line. I haven’t been buying the bandi because I was hoping hasbro would do an marvel Legends style line with power rangers. I finished the Mighty Morphin team with the bandi figures and figured ok mine as well stop here and wait and see what hasbro puts out. Glad I did and I can’t wait

What made you assume Hasbro would get the license ? Hasen't Bandai had it for decades ?

Hasbro got the license not too long ago which makes me glad I didn't invest much into the 6 inch line.

I almost feel bad for those collectors about to be hosed. But then again Hasbro is doing the same thing hosing their Marvel and Star Wars collectors with constant better updates.

Wow that face sculpt is better than Figuarts. every time I see it there's so much to love. so much to unpack. The muscular sculpts will please the American consumers who are not impressed with a lean physique that is more accurate to the sentai fight footage, but for the first time we will finally have figures that actually look like they're wearing the spandex uniforms, and this has me more excited than anything else. The creasing and folds seen around the joints and abdomen provide much needed body expression and exciting detail for what is a basic flat design and are much more realistic than the steroid muscles on top of muscles we've been getting since Turbo and In Space, with a few breaks in-between (Jungle Fury/RPM). Now all I ask for is MMPR with the weapons, and a blade blaster that is not in holster mode, (or three for all three modes) and I'll be happy!
