TVLine is reporting that Brent Spiner will recur on the CW drama Supergirl as Vice President Baker.  The character is described as “adept and politically minded,” and proves himself to be an “unlikely leader [who] steps up in a big way when his country needs him most.”

Brent Spiner is best known for playing Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Lt. Commander Data.

Supergirl kicks off its fourth season on Sunday, October 14th at 8/7 Central

I have said in the past that this show is too politically charged now and almost unwatchable.

I love Data, but They either get better on the writing or this show is doomed.

Agreed. I can deal with the lefty pandering (this IS the CW), but not to the exclusion of ALL else.

When every other aspect of your series takes a back-seat to whatever counter-culture pontificating the show-runners wanna force down the audiences throat that week, its time to reassess the show... or find a new show runner.
