She’s not a bad actress, from what little I’ve seen of her... Really makes me wonder who she’s going to be, and how that’s going to play into everything we’ve gotten thus far. Imagine if she were one of Kylo’s Knights of Ren!

DJ could have been removed completely if Lando was the dude Maz knew. But then Lando betraying the Resistance would ruin Lando. Hopefully they don't ruin Lando like they did for Han and Luke.

Agreed!

I loved everything Mark brought to TLJ... Here’s hoping we get to see him continue building off of it, in IX.

Be careful with your words there, that space walrus-cow milking scene puts that in a bad light xD

Nice! Lando is coming back! Too bad he didnt come back sooner to reunite with Han before he was killed. That would have been nice to see. Now I am wondering if he is coming back to get the Millennium Falcon? lol

August 1, 2018, the returning cast of the sequel trilogy will be joined by a few new faces, as well as, a very familiar one. as filming begins on Star Wars Episode 9. Returning cast members include John Boyega, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleson, Oscar Issac, Billie Lourd, Lupita Nyong’o, Daisy Ridley, Joonas Suotamo, and Kelly Marie Tran; they'll be joined by Naomi Ackie and Richard E. Grant, as well as, veteran Star Wars actors Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, and Billy Dee Williams, who will reprise his role as Lando Calrissian.

"The role of Leia Organa will once again be played by Carrie Fisher, using previously unreleased footage shot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. “We desperately loved Carrie Fisher,” says Abrams. “Finding a truly satisfying conclusion to the Skywalker saga without her eluded us. We were never going to recast, or use a CG character. With the support and blessing from her daughter, Billie, we have found a way to honor Carrie’s legacy and role as Leia in Episode IX by using unseen footage we shot together in Episode VII.”

Filming will take place at London’s Pinewood Studios. with J.J. Abrams returning to direct the final installment of the Skywalker saga. "Abrams co-wrote the screenplay with Chris Terrio. Star Wars: Episode IX will be produced by Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Michelle Rejwan, and executive produced by Callum Greene and Jason McGatlin. The crew includes Dan Mindel (Director of Photography), Rick Carter and Kevin Jenkins (Co-Production Designers), Michael Kaplan (Costume Designer), Neal Scanlan (Creature and Droid FX), Maryann Brandon and Stefan Grube (Editors), Roger Guyett (VFX Supervisor), Tommy Gormley (1st AD), and Victoria Mahoney (2nd Unit Director)."

Composer John Williams, who has scored every chapter in the Star Wars saga since 1977’s A New Hope, will also return.

The film is scheduled to be released December 2019.

It’s somewhat heartening to know that we’re still going to be able to see our beloved Leia, one last time, and done using existing footage... That’s actually pretty great, so long as they can work with what they have, convincingly enough. Add to that that Hamill and Daniels are returning, alongside Billy Dee as Lando! As well as Daisy, Adam, John and Kelly Marie. Plus, I didn’t know Richard E. Grant was going to be in it — such a great actor, no doubt he’ll be a person of some prominence within the First Order, or else I’ll be very much surprised. Honestly, I love The Last Jedi, and I cannot wait for Episode IX.

Todd Fisher's Statement On Carrie Appearing In #StarWars Episode 9

"I couldn’t be more personally thrilled and happy that our Carrie will reprise her role as Princess Leia in the new and final ‘Star Wars Episode IX,’ using previously unreleased footage of her shot for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens...

“As we, her family, as well as her extended family of fans around the world so believe, Carrie’s ‘Princess Leia’ is forever entrenched in the franchise and her indelible presence is fundamental to the film. J.J. Abrams understood Carrie’s iconic role, and he has masterfully re-crafted this final entry to include this unused and very last footage of Carrie ever taken, without resorting to CGI or animatronics. Our family and her fans will look forward with great anticipation for this one!”

I completely and totally echo his sentiments... I’m so happy we’ll get to see her one last time! ❤️

I don't know, it still seems a little to much like whoring out her dead body for a quick cash-grab (or more likely fan service after the train wreck that was Last Jedi). Still, at least they're not resorting to CGI zombies.

People seemed to debate whether or not Luke was heroic, in The Last Jedi... To me, he was, most certainly. I loved everything about it. But, this post of his just proves why he is a hero in real life. At least, to me.

Filming is now underway on Star Wars: Episode 9, and Anthony Daniels is back on Twitter, recapping yesterday's events. Could be something(?), could be nothing, we'll find out next year...

This is probably the biggest spoiler that has ever been leaked, regarding any Star Wars movie, EVER! ‘Out of this world’ can only mean one thing — SPACE!! So, natch, some part of this movie has actually got to take place IN SPACE!! Talk about unraveling the very mystery George Lucas himself first buried deep within the enigmatic tapestry that is the Saga of the Skywalkers! 😉😋

Carrie Fisher's Brother Discusses The Footage To Be Used For Star Wars: Episode 9

During a recent appearance on Good Morning America, Carrie Fisher's brother, Todd, hints that General Leia's appearance in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode 9could be more than just a cameo. Following the actress' death in 2016, it has been reported General Leia's role will continue posthumously via unused footage from The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. Todd Fisher says, “There’s a lot of minutes of footage. I don’t mean just outtakes...“This is unused, new content that could be woven into the storyline. That’s what’s going to give everybody such a great kick. It’s going to look like it was meant to be. Like it was shot yesterday.” He adds, “We’re not allowed to talk about the details of anything,...But we’re thrilled at what’s been done.”

Star Wars Episode 9, written and directed by J.J. Abrams, is scheduled to be released December 20, 2019.
