Deadline & Variety are reporting that the fifth Indiana Jones movie that is being directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Harrison Ford has been pushed back by months, perhaps even a year.

Spielberg is currently in pre-production on a West Side Story remake and is also looking to direct Mark Rylance in the historical drama, The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara.  Delays also include Indiana Jones 5 screenwriter Jonathan Kasdan has yet to sign his deal, which doing so will then give the script a polishing after after David Koepp's first draft.  Because of these numerous delays, the new movie will now miss its July 10, 2020 release date.
