There is probably another Marvel Select Thread here somewhere, but I'm too lazy to find it. Anyway I think this line needs more love and I'm really excited for the upcoming MS Destroyer. I was wondering what any of your guys' favorite MS are?

I'm genuinely excited for the Destroyer, and I'm glad that DS is actually adding the spikes and appropriate patterning of the armor. Admittedly the Odin head is surely tempting me to order a second one to display separately.

Definitely looking forward to the Destroyer, but it would be nice if MS could put out more villains that would match great with ML. It seems when it comes to heroes, they have to be movie centric or movie inspired and we hardly ever get villains.

I love Selects, I have quite a few of them, my favorites would be Hulkbuster Iron Man, Juggernaut, Ultron and Venom. The problem with Marvel Select is that due to the nature of their contract they can only do 9 releases a year not counting the Disney Store exclusives. I do agree that lately they have been sort of playing it safe and not taking many risks with their character selections. Another thing that bothers me is that scale seems to be all over the place, they make figures of characters that are supposed to be bigger and make them smaller to the point where they fit more with MLs than they do other Selects. I'm definitely looking forward to that Destroyer figure, the extra Odin head makes it even better, since I really liked that storyline.

I think a really cool MS figure that they could Diamond select could tackle would be classic beast since they made a good share of classic x men already. I really want a smaller sentinel that's like the Marvel vs Capcom version though.

Beast would be great especially if they include alternate heads based on both Perez and Jim Lee art so you can have him both as an Avenger and X-men.

I didn't know they could only do 9 Marvel releases a year. That sucks, but now I see why they do popular characters or comic characters who have a movie coming out.

There's a representative of Diamond Select that posts in The Fwoosh forums, he shares info like that from the company and addresses concerns, it's kind of cool.

Yeah, I knew there there was a limit as to how many figures they could make a year, but I didn't know it was only 9 figures. I think I read somewhere that Disney store exclusive figures don't count to their limit though. It'd be cool to see more figures based on more up to date comic book runs. A couple examples off the top of my head that they made are the Marvel Now! Thor and the Marvel Now! Hawkeye. Those two literally looked like they jumped out of the pages!

Yeah, Disney exclusives releases do not count toward the 9 figures a year, from what I heard they can release up to four Disney Store Exclusives per year. The thing with the Disney store exclusives is that they are a bit more selective when it comes to the figures which is why a lot of them tend to be movie characters that have had MCU appearance or have a movie coming up. Some of them end up bieng previously released figures with an alternate head and new deco but once in a while we get some great ones like the Thor, Hulkbuster Iron Man and Hawkeye. The Hawkyeye in particular was a great release and it came packed with so many accesories and they even included Arrow/Pizza Dog.
